First time we have visited since it changed to a burger and pizza bar, we would not have gone had we known. As we were there we decided to try the T bone steak and the sea bream. 20 minutes we were told waiting time after 45 minutes the food arrived, I have never seem such poor presentation of a meal, nor did it resemble it's description. I had to ask for the basics, salt pepper and vinegar. Salt was e.pty, I returned to be told "it's wet" I am not stupid it was empty!!! So was the vinegar, my husband had ordered the mushroom and still sauce with his steak, it had been left under the hot lamps so long you could not see it. My husband left in disgust. I spoke to the manager who appeared not to care in the slightest. I requested our money back who j we got mainly in pound coins! We will never attend The Spread Eagle at Corby ever again. A detailed complaint will be sent to the company. If you enjoy good food and service avoid like the plague

Really nice food, and a lovely server it was a shame it was let down by the time taken to get food. We were advised of a 45-60 minute wait for food, but it ended up at nearly 90 minutes from when the waitress took our order. A couple of dishes had to be fixed and it was 10 minutes from the first dish arriving to the last item arriving correct. However what arrived was tasty and well cooked. Our waitress was lovely, but she was clearly coving way too large an area of the restaurant, more staff and a faster kitchen needed.

Lovely surroundings. Table clean. Waitress arrived as soon as we sat down. Drinks were quick. Ordered meal and it arrived within fifteen minutes. Lovely. Just what we ordered. More drinks were ordered. Puddings were on the table just as quickly. Service was great. Price excellent. No rushing and no pressure.

We drove past and thought we would pop in as it looks nice from the outside. Unfortunately inside it looks shabby and dated. We first sat near the kitchen. This was a mistake as the kitchen was playing loud music and the staff were swearing at the tops of their voices. I was sitting with my wife and daughter and didn't think this was very pleasant. The food was overpriced and of very poor quality. My daughter's meal was inedible and the food my wife and I ordered was greasy. We were given a 20% discount when we told the staff how poor our experience was but it didn't really make up for the terrible evening. We left and found somewhere much nicer to have dessert. We will not be returning and would not recommend anyone else does either.
