Customer service is extremely lacking and communication skills non existent from two female members of staff today. There is no way of contacting the store to speak to a manager.nMy mother travelled to Cookstown with my 12 year old son who purchased a turtle head set for his Xbox. The headset is faulty and we actually purchased a new control initially thinking it must be it but have since found it is the headset that is the problem. My mother wanted to exchange for a working headset and was told that because she had no receipt which by the way was never given by the sales advisor who sold her the original headset a few days ago!. Absolutely ridiculous and let’s face it the product can be returned without the receipt and is at your discretion! Horrendous customer service , lack of understanding or willingness to resolve situation appropriately and a very upset 12 year old who now has no working headset that he spent his birthday money on as well as a new controller he didn’t need !!
This shop has to have the worst service ever. Having to wait for ages for staff to come to the checkout to pay for your product on more than one occasion is bad enough . Today there was a staff member there, she was bad mannered! Rang the product up and asked for payment straight away. She never checked any of the products or offered a bag. I tried chatting to her but no response, she was annoyed I paid by cash and not card. She took the payment and rushed off without a word. She never checked the shoes and when I got home the security tag was still attached!!! It’s a pity about the staff as this is a good company. Their other store in Armagh the staff are fantastic. I will never be in Cookstown store again.
Great shoes for some inexpensive prices. Large range of sports wear and lots of various sports catered for. Additional The right foot of a pair of Karrimor KSB Aspen low 6 weathertite trail boots became defective after just three months the sole was beginning to come away obviously not of merchantable quality. Thankfully I had kept the receipt and an exchange was completed without any issues at all. Extremely happy with their customer service in this regard. I would for this reason be happy to shop there again. Not sure what would have happened had I not retained the receipt though. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS as it makes everything so much more straightforward if issues arise.
Went into the Cookstown store today to buy a pair of shoes for my father who has limited mobility and is unable to visit in person.nAfter some searching for a sales person I got the shoes I needed. When asked if I could return them if unsuitable I was told I couldn't. I could get a credit note but no refund. Was forced to leave the shoes back on the shelf. Curious to know if this is common policy in sports direct.
4th time I have been in to exchange. Still here an hour later . Currently sitting in shoes section waiting as j cant stand any longer. Been shopping in sports direct for year and years. Won't be back after this.
