Lack of staff on the shop floor, staff are so miserable, lack customer service, seriously in need of training in customer care, all the staff have a stern look on their faces when dealing with customers as if they really don't want to be there, even the guy at the Game was miserable. I hate going there. JD is much better.
Sports Direct Cannock located on the retail park is based between B&Q and Jysk. parking is available directly Infront of the shop, but it is very limited. Most customers park on the B&Q Car Park due to it being much larger and easier to navigate.nnThe store is well lit to highlight its products. The store is packed with many many items, you can't move without being in inches of product.nnThe Football short selection is very poor, for some reason they now stock Manchester City tops in Cannock. You can't buy a Walsall shirt or many of the local clubs with the exception of the Aston Villa. Shirts are the same prices as you would pay in any club shop.nnThe trainers are also quite high priced and many of the designs are the exact same as they were in the 90s overall the shoe, trainer and whole footwear selection is very limited. However this is the main draw for consumers to come to the shop.nnThe staff vary greatly from overbearing to kind and pleasant. When young women enter the shop the staff are far more attentive. However this criticism is more around the employment policies than the employees themselves.nnGame is now located in the back right of the shop. However despite Game closing its retail units and making huge savings those savings are not being passed onto the customers. games are much cheaper online.nnService is quite quick in game due to the lack of customers. Board games, funkos and figures are crammed into the small space.nnOverall Sports Direct has a lot of selection, but the prices are now high street prices, don't be fooled by false sales advertising. The pricing is driven by the lack of competition in the market.nnThere is a wide selection of kids sporting attire and clothing. So Sports Direct is good for quickly picking an item up.nnHowever you should always be aware of what your giving your money too.
Tried to sell me new trainers that were clearly dirty and worn inside and out,so when telling them I wanted another pair that was new and clean the staff was rude to my wife and seemed to snatch box back. Also staff seemed moody and rude too on the till.
Went in today to Game with my Autistic son. A member of sport direct Staffs shouted at him to stop messing around and touching things. My son likes all the coat hangers to be neat. I told the staff member he was Autistic and he told me he didn't care and to tell my son to stop messing around. This was the store by B&Q in Cannock. Clearly this staff member needs a refresher course on special needs disabilities and customer relations!! Won't be using this store again.
Store itself absolutely fine. Managed to get the product desired however customer service was disappointing. Asked for sizing for shoes and a fed up gloomy looking young man came back with wrong size threw the box down and then when question seemed unhappy, very much stormed into store cupboard door slammed. His whole manor was very rude and unprofessional. Thankfully the checkout staff were friendly and helpful.
