Story

Parents who are seeking a secure, friendly and happy future for their child/children need look no further than Spittal Day Nursery. Our opening times are 8am-5.30pm Monday to Friday Joanne Knox is the Manager of the Nursery and has been here at the Nursery since January 2000, acting as Nursery Nurse, then Officer in Charge and then onto Deputy Manager before successfully purchasing the Nursery in July 2005. All the staff have the necessary qualifications, skills and experience required to work with children. The Nursery is regulated by OFSTED and complies with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children aged birth to five.

• To provide a high quality service of education and care for children in their earliest years. We believe that all children are entitled to this service to meet their individual, family and community needs.

• To create and promote a warm, caring and living environment.

• To enable children to reach their full potential by encouraging them to develop inquiring minds and a positive attitude to learning.

• Encourage all infants and young children to become confident, independent, co-operative and good communicators, taking into account their individual needs.

• To work in partnership with parents and professionals to heighten awareness of the child’s potential in line with their age/stage of development.

• To continue to develop and resource the localized services in accordance with the needs of families and communities.

• Staff development and training will be encouraged and promoted in order to achieve this service.

Products

Day care for children aged between 3 months and 4 years.
Fun factory holiday club for children up to the age of 8 years. Government funding for all children aged 3 to 4 years. We can also provide government funding for two year old children when criteria is met.
