Enjoyable visit with the family. Even though it was a drizzly day the views were still breathtaking. My daughter got to make a chocolate lolly which was a nice surprise. A slice of cake and a cuppa in the sky cafe completed the visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Great place to spend time, especially if you are out of town. There is a wide variety of shops to explore and plenty of good options. Take a stroll through the market. You can visit Spinnaker Tower for a stunning view but there is an entry fee. Definitely recommend.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, and it was a truly spectacular experience. The location offers breathtaking views, including the Isle of Wight, the bustling harbour with Royal Navy ships, and the panoramic beauty of Portsmouth itself. The tower features three levels, with the journey starting at reception, where tickets cost £16 for adults. I highly recommend booking online to save £4—perfect for covering a coffee and cake at the sky café! Before heading up, you watch a short, 2-minute film about the local history, which really helps you connect with the sights from the platform. The smooth, fast lift takes you to the first floor, where the largest viewing space awaits, complete with a thrilling glass floor for those brave enough to look down. The second level has a lovely café offering snacks and drinks, with restrooms available here. The third level is an open-air platform, where you can relax on benches and enjoy the fresh air with only a mesh covering above you. On the way down, you pass through a well-stocked gift shop and restaurant, perfect for grabbing a memorable keepsake or a delicious meal. Overall, the Spinnaker Tower is a fantastic place to visit—especially for families or small groups. The views alone make it worth every penny! Highly recommended!
This a fantastic place to go to get stunning views of Portsmouth, the coast and the Isle of Wight. Are you brave enough to walk on the glass floor and look down?? Booking not necessary but if you do, you ll get a discount. Glad we went.

Obviously, this place provides some great views of Portsmouth and this is one of the reasons for visiting The Tower. We attended during The Victorious Festival and it was lovely to see and photograph/ film this event from a unique perspective. The queue was quite long and I think that it would be prudent not to force members of staff to ask for people's emails and post codes. It just adds to the length of time that people have to wait. I understand that it is for marketing purposes, but perhaps this is something that can be individually provided when visitors exit the building. I had to repeat myself quite a few times because of the noise and the process would be quicker if so many questions were not put to visitors. Although these staff members were extremely welcoming, people might be more willing to provide more information after having had the benefit of seeing the impressive and alluring view. The glass floor was interesting and slightly scary to see. There was one brave girl who was doing cartwheels along the floor. The moment at which the purple lights were turned on was thrilling to see from this perspective and I do not know why The Tower is not open for longer hours. Although we did spend over an hour admiring the views, it would have been better for The Tower to have longer opening hours. The very top, The Sky Deck, was slightly disappointing. There were people pushing prams who struggled to get upstairs. I felt really badly and I tried to help. What if someone is a Wheelchair User? What if someone is a Person with a Disability which makes it difficult to access the Sky Deck? With the amount of money that people pay, I think that more could be done to make this part of the Tower more alluring. I am sure that someone can come up with a brilliant idea to make this part of The Tower more exciting. Perhaps a set of swings or similar? The members of staff were lovely. The people in the lift did an excellent job in relation to engaging in conversations with people. For example, the man who was in the lift on 25 August 2024 at 16:00 was nice as was a young man named Albert who worked in the gift shop. Furthermore, there was a member of staff who I think was from Guatemala and he was extremely informative. I can also understand why people have raised issues with the price of admission. While our time at The Tower was lovely, perhaps it might be a good idea for those in charge to inform the public about the costs of running the place to justify the costs of admission. If such information could be placed in close proximity to the tills and if the costs associated with admission were justified, this might lead people to better understand the expense.

Superb customer service. We rang to advise we'd be late for our High Tea booking due to multiple accidents causing horrendous amounts of traffic and Jack was extremely helpful. He notified our friends, who were waiting for us and confirmed he'd keep our table available for the 1 1/2 hrs, despite them having a second sitting after ours. So much delicious food we had to take the leftovers with us. Cups were refilled with as much tea and coffee as we wanted. The views were amazing and our catchup with friends from Australia was a great success. Fabulous experience!! Thank you Spinnaker Tower Team and especially Jack.
Fabulous. I don't do heights but this is a must. The vies are spectacular, a restaurant at the very top, a little garden with fab views at the very top, a lift that takes a minute to reach the top but cant feel it moving. This is a must do if in Portsmouth. The staff are wonderful. There is a glass floor if you are brave enough.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
