Spice Tandoori

Spice Tandoori in Fort William is an Indian restaurant of reasonable quality, in a very convenient and central location. I ate here when I visited town for work. On a first impression, it presents as one of the most stylish and contemporary eateries in the area. It also has a great view over the water from the main dining area. The service was fine, but not particularly friendly. I think they were unimpressed that I was dining alone and as a punishment for that I was assigned to the table facing the wall, when other options were clearly available. Staff were not friendly in any identifiable way when I was ordering or paying my bill, either. The quality of food was relatively good. I've had better curry, but I've also had worse. The flavours were not exceptional, but there was nothing to complain about either. Prices are fair, and I didn't feel that I paid too much for what I ordered.

Visited Spice Tandoori November 2022. Would highly recommend. The food was very tasty. My dish was lamb bhuna and the lamb was very tender and delicious. The service was outstanding as was the atmosphere. Views over the loch just add to the ambianceFood: 5/5

Food is overall average. Loved the Naan bread. Need to improve the gravy quantity as its served very less as compared to the price charged roughly 10-12£ and only 1 naam bread could be eaten with that Chicken chat was delicious and decent quantity. Paneer chat was very bad. Just served 6 small cubes for 5£. Food service was quick but waiters were not polite. Overall 6/10 in terms of taste and price.

Experienced great indian cuisines from this restaurant plus with good service attitude during our stay at Fort William. The waiter has patiently answer all our questions regarding the menu and the spicy level of the food. Warm the plate and a final wipe before giving us to use.

AVOID:: Very disappointing, food was bland and large portions were 1/2cm off the top. Salad was terrible not really salad just onions and bits of chili. Naans were hard and probably left over from the day. One of the order was butter chicken which ended up being madras which tikka pieces. Rice and Vindaloo was only one worth having. rest tasted like it was all paste cooked and no fresh ingredients. tasted like baby food from jars we ordered Pizza in the end.. disgraceful.

Very expensive but didn't taste like Indian at all. Ambience is good though. Customer service also need to improve.

We had take-out for dinner as staying nearby for the day. Had the lamb biryani, the meat was really tender and we'll cooked, my partner had the chicken Tikka masala that was very nice, sauce very flavourful and the garlic rice was lovely. The portions were very generous that we couldn't finish it all in one meal, got complimentary poppadoms as well. We only waited about 20 mins from order to pick-up and they had a lovely corner sofa waiting area. The only downside was no online ordering but they do in person and over the phone. Staff were very nice and helpful!

Decent meal. Very popular place in Fort William and it was very busy when we arrived despite it being late. Most other places had stopped serving food when we walked from our guest house at the other side of town, so glad I did the research to find this place.

Absolutely delicious. So busy but the amazing staff coped so well. Very well ran and fabulous food. Would have given 5 stars but for the slightly high prices. Well done though. Would defo return.

We had biryani was very good. I wasn't keen with the vegetable curry. And the starter we had the mix was the best I ever had. Well doneFood: 5/5
