Spice Nutriment

The shop in Queens Road smelled really bad & I should have turned around & gone elsewhere before ordering. The menu states that the curry I wanted to order Madras came with pilau or brown rice, onion salad, and a papadum. I asked if it was possible to have plain boiled rice instead it's listed on the menu & was told that it wasn't. So I said I'd have pilau, and was then told there was a 50p surcharge for pilau rice. Suddenty the prices didn't look quite so competitive. The food was, well... below average. The chicken was extremely tough, so probably frozen and/or old. The Madras was lacking in heat and flavour. Bland isn't a word you usually associate with a Madras curry. First time customer, last time customer.

Really disappointed. We've been a customer for more than 10 years and it's clear that the fresh cooked principle that meant the best curry in Brighton came from here has left the building. Samosa sludgy, naan dry, balti tasteless. Won't be ordering from here again :

Over priced for such watered down so called curry. Very bland not much flavour. Warm drinks. Best thing about the meal was the nan bread Stay away

I order regularly and it's gorgeous food every time and not heavy like usual curries.

i lost my shoes yesterday and they phoned and said "we have them' i was soooo happy, like, really. lol.

Good quality takeout, although it seems slightly oilier since they cut prices.
