I've rewritten this review as we've been a number of times recently and the food, service and atmosphere have been excellent each time! The team are friendly, helpful and attentive, giving great recommendations on the menu. The service is quick but they're happy for you to sit and take your time and enjoy the experience and the food is bang on target. The restaurant is licensed and the prices are pretty good for the area. Give it a go!

I came here early sunday evening with my partner and 2 children, grandmother and stepmother. We were greeted at the door and quickly led to our table and asked what drinks we would like. The waiter was very friendly and helpful and took time to explain what dishes were available and how the buffet works (sorry i have forgotten his name) we have 2 extremely akward children who wont eat indian or much of anything for that matter but he helped us find a dish that suited them both and arranged to fetch that out asap so we could all eat together. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. 5* to our waiter who was ever so helpfull, friendly and funny, top bloke lol. We are very set in our ways with our local indian resteraunt that we love but we had arranged to visit family and come to Spice Merchant and let me say were glad we did. The food was amazing and well presented with lots of choice that also suited my grandmother who is a vegettarian and the chicken pakoras were especially delicious (WOW). I think we will be visiting you as often as we will our family from now on as the great food,service and price really cant be beaten. Really really enjoyed it thanks lads will see you again soon.

A whole crowd of us went along (12 people) and we had a thoroughly good time. The service was faultless, lovely staff. And the food was good.. we definitely will be going back there.
