I have a bit of a silly hang up re opticians but I was helped at Spec Savers in Pocklington yesterday by Diane and I got the feeling nothing was too much trouble for her! What a lovely lovely lady. Thank you. You are a real credit to the store. Tbf all the staff were very friendly and helpful but Diane went above and beyond for me. Very much appreciated.
Absolutely shocking, I will never return. I had been trying to book an eye test for the last 2 years, and each and every time they rang me to cancel. I went in today because the arm of my glasses is broken, and I was hoping for them to repair them. I got told I had to book an eye test and buy new frames!!! Needless to say I will be going elsewhere
Julie helped me this morning by adjusting my sunglasses I bought several months ago. Julie was efficient, friendly and supportive. After some difficulty deciding whether an appointment was needed for this I was passed over to Julie who resolved the issue no problem. Thank you Julie, you are a credit to the store.
Frustrating experience at Specksavers this morning I took my son in to choose a new pair of frames and wanted to look for some for myself. Greeted by a gentleman who showed us where to look in the space of 7/8 minutes he returned to us 3 times asking if my son had chosen some frames yet. I hadn’t even started looking for myself. We just wanted to be left alone to look without pressure to make a decision. Frustrated we just left. Sadly Specksavers have missed out on selling 3 pairs of glasses as my husband wants new ones too. But we won’t be going back anytime soon.
I’ve been going to Pocklington specsavers for years, the service has definitely declined recently & every contact I have leaves me frustrated. I have had issues over appointments, I have had staff unwilling to book me a contact lenses appointment on a Sunday because they leave at 3, she couldn’t take her eyes off the clock at 2.50. I’ve had a phone call today which basically made me feel that I was lying, they sent a text 2 days ago which I absolutely didn’t receive! I don’t know what’s going on, but as a manager in the NHS I’d be mortified with my staff if they behaved like that. Also, what’s with the over the top security? The NHS doesn’t even lock doors in its clinics! What a disaster.
The staff are amazing However you need a loan to be able to purchase there glasses i was given a price of almost £400 At Asda opticians have very similar style's designer with all the variifocals anti glare and scratch resistant less tban £200
Wont ever be returning, 25 November 5.20 I turned up for my appointment. Greeted at the door with we've been trying to contact you. Yes I replied ive ring you don't answer. Weve a skeleton staff, my reply yes I work too theres only me. Then the door was closed and she walked away. Great customer service
Covid precautions are in place. Staff are quick and efficient. An excellent company and especially the Pocklington store to have your eyes checked, tested and glasses ordered.

Specsavers Pocklington cancelled my appointment 7 minutes before I was due to see the optician as that person had not turned up. Actually I was sat in my car outside their shop waiting for them to open having travelled 10 miles for the appointment and now due to travel 10 miles back again. Whats the point of them sending a text reminder the day before?? I had planned my whole weekend around ensuring I was available, on time and attended the eye test. How many of the missed eye test appointments clearly displayed on a poster on reception counter front are due to Specsavers!! In Supersaver alert speak - "Should have gone" to Boots or Asda!
