After sales service not good for busy customers. The greeting on the phone says "Your call is important to us" then told the waiting time is one minute with two calls in ahead of you, but after five minutes waiting you are invited to leave a message. Why not direct all calls to message service or have staff to answer the phone if "Your call is important to us"?
Great optician really thorough. New machine speeds up the actual eye test but they were running slightly behind appointment times. Staff in front just let phone ring and ring though and didn't seem the quickest with waiting customers

I went in to try on some glasses today with one pair in mind that I knew I wanted, but I asked for an opinion from a member of staff who gave me their honest opinion and said they were too big for my head and helped me find the perfect pair, even though it took a while a good 20 pairs of glasses later and Jordan and some other members of staff found me the perfect glasses and sunglasses. She was amazing and put up with my indicisive brain very well!! 10/10, thanks guys! Excited to pick up my new glasses!!
Had an eyesight test ordered new frames & lenses within 14 days came in on a pre arranged appointment and they were perfect first time ………been wearing them ever since
The service over the years has been OK but this last year its gotten worse. When my 8 year old was not valued as a person or given any choice as to the style of glasses she is happy with. We will not be using them again and will be happy to travel to find a better service
Went in for an eye test and purchased glasses, paid a fairly large sum for the privilege and received a receipt to say I paid the amount in full. A week later a poor girl got tasked with ringing me on behalf of the manager to tell me they had messed up and I had a large outstanding bill. Numerous times I asked to actually speak to the manager or someone high up about this and never got a call back. When I went in the supervisor told me it was their mistake completely and as I already had paid my outstanding balance it was up to me whether I paid anything else and if I did it would just be a gesture of good will. It was left I would contact them if I wanted to pay, since then I have received rude and threatening letters from the store manager who still hasn't actually spoken to me demanding me to pay even though it was acknowledged it was their mistake and I do not have to. The store have been unhelpful, rude and not been at all nicel about a situation that is their fault. Trying to speak to someone to get it resolved is impossible. This has made me never want to return to Bodmin supersavers or the whole company again.
I wanted an older pair of spectacles updated with my latest prescription and was refused. If I'm willing to take the risk of the spectacles possibly breaking as I was told, why won't specsavers undertake to do the work? Don't they want to make money? I felt the customer service was impersonal and 'going by the rules' . Not a pleasant experience.
The Bodmin branch is nice and friendly, but also extremely small. Never had eye testing there, just to collect my new glasses occasionally. Usually I use the Truro branch. Hoping after the COVID thing you can just simply enter the store rather than wait ages outside would still recommend though
Went to specsavers today with a problem with my new glasses. Sharon could not have been more helpful. She went above and beyond to sort out things for me and made sure I went away happy. Nothing was too much trouble. A credit to the business. Thankyou
