Went in today and I didn't have enough for baby milk as my card got declined and Jamie on the counter offered and paid for it, shows their is some people that are there for each other, honestly made me tearful the way he offered , what a guy! Everyone is struggling these days and he helped out, guy deserves a promotion, so great full
Deli counter is great but unfortunately was closed, had to pay £3.75 for this absolute atrocity of a sandwich
Been going her for a number of years, bit pricey on something but always have a good bit of banter and laugh with the ladys behind the sandwich counter
How this cafe is still open I have no idea. No food hygiene at all. Sandwiches are made without gloves, picking up sweet corn and salad with bare unwashed hands. How easy it is to use gloves and regularly change them or wash your hands before each sandwich? Even mid pandemic hygiene here has worsened. Asked staff to wear gloves, refused. After touching the salad with bare hands then proceeded to wipe hands dry on trousers before making the next sandwich. Reporting to council. Needs shutting down until staff have hygiene training
Verbally abused by customers not wearing masks as I pointed out they weren't. No help from staff disgraceful. Age group as always under 40's causing problems.
Just been to the deli at 10.30am the unpleasant female, I can't call her assistance, because she didn't assist didn't even have the decency to give me eye contact when she barked, 'I ain't got nothing left'. Thinkbthe whole store could do with a bit of training on customer service.
Worst shop ever, never fails to disappoint each time I have no option but to visit. Check fruit and veg carefully as likely to be rotten

HEY BREAKING NEWS CHRIS MELLOR : THEY "HAVE" TARMACED THE CAR PARK !! BUT FOR SOME REASON MY BANK SHOWS THEM AS LIVELINK RETAIL not SPAR oddly, so I don't get my 1% supermarket bank discount, which I did when they were Costcutter. I tried to query this but they do not have contact details of the Company who shows up on my bank statement NOT SPAR, bizarre !! Not impressed by the Spar Greek Feta at £2, tastes awful and much worse than Sainsbury's which is wonderful and 80p cheaper @ £1.20 for the same sized pack. M&S Food sells the best though. Spar lunch sandwiches in their deli are good though. Josh is lovely as are most of the staff, despite what lottery lady says, and Josh always gives me a free bag : bless him. Don't know many local stores that open 24/7, but it is open until 9:30pm which works for me, most of Macc town centre closes at 5 or 6pm !!! Tesco is open longer on Hibel Road. above prices correct as of 21/10/2019
Been going there alot and everytime I go i get treated very badly and nasty. First time went with my partner for a lottery ticket got refused to be sold one because I needed identification ,fair enough ,I didn't have it with me but my partner did so he said then allow me to buy it as I got my driving licence and the guy behind the counter said" no because you'll only give it to her" we left the shop shocked. When my partner goes, him being British he gets treated alright ,when I do go on my own or with him being black I'm not treated the same, I'm not looked at or even talked to . I think they really need to change their manners towards costumers because afterall white or black it's more money for their pockets and because of the way I'm treated today I've decided that nor me or my partner or anything we know will ever step into that shop again . Everyone's welcome just watch out if you're black.
