I recently moved to this relatively desolate place in Portsmouth, which basically consists of grass(!) and this shop. I immediately discovered that this shop is pretty useless, and I presume that it only exists because it contains a cash machine -- the only one in this neglected land. However, today, I thought: 'well surely I can get some bread and apples' -- but no! I can only suppose that my years further inland have rendered me too sophisticated, accustomed to the apparent luxury of brown bread, and green apples! This is quite ironic, since the exterior is indeed decorated with bread and apples. So, I had the usual 1.6 mile walk for the second nearest shop (Tesco Express), for bread -- bread!
I give favour, however, with these two stars, because I suspect that it's a decent place, if you're a child hunting bad chocolate, or an adult hunting bad wine.

A small local shop selling a range of everyday items for top-up shopping. Also sells newspapers, beers, wine and spirits plus tobacco. Fairly close to Eastney beach and has a cash machine. Run by the owners with pleasant staff. I like to use it as it's a local business.

Compared to a Tesco or Sainsbury (local) they aren't that good. You can't find what you need and what should be available in a local.
