Poor attitude. Website & Google show physical address with “get directions buttons” arrived not to be a physical store. Called the telephone number to be answered by an extremely rude gentleman. Asked if he could identity some parts, came out very reluctantly and on showing him the parts I required he was extremely rude and patronising. Felt like I was a complete inconvenience. After travelling from Cambridge to purchase some of his parts. Won’t be ordering from this guy will take my custom elsewhere to someone who has some customer service skills. Edit to add - has sent me a text message with links to website - stating customer collections, how he even got my number I do not know!!! Completely disregarding the fact that his attitude is disgusting and is the real issue here!! We wouldn’t mind have if we turned up to be turned away if we where greeted by a pleasant helpful person who could have assisted us in our request and advise us that his business is online and actually provide a service!! The review has been left for the simple reason that he was so shockingly rude! Gobsmacked this business is even real.
Finally getting around to leaving a review for this company Seems to think he is some sort of plumbing parts god Kinda sad really Opened a trade account and placed several orders a few years back but was just refunded them at least 3 times nothing was in stock Then after I called to make another order on a part that's when he was cheeky and removed my trade account accused me of not being in the industry because I hadn't ordered enough parts...... Really? all my orders were refunded... The irony... I don't like leaving negative reviews but if this was a company that deserved it it would get first place! Avoid has extreme narcissistic traits Use other companies there's plenty about!
Very poor customer service. Extremely rude. Didn’t want to hear my query at all. Just talked over me. Basically I’m building a concrete hot tub. I’ve done my research and know exactly what parts I need. I wanted to explain to him what parts I need and if he could source it for me from his suppliers. He just wasn’t interested to hear. All I said to him than I’m building a concrete hot tub, and he just kept saying over me that ‘I can’t help’ over and over. He might as well have that as a slogan on his website. I don’t like putting negative review, as it is someone else’s business at the end of the day, but unfortunately I had to as I needed to warn people about their customer service. And by the look of other reviews, his lack of care for customers is clearly a common thing. He needs to hear customer’s query, and try and help, or may not be able to. But at least listen. Even if he didn’t do the item I was looking for, there are loads of other item I’ll be buying for my new built, and had he listened and tried to help, he would have had my business. It is a big project I’m doing, and planning to spend a lot of money on components. But unfortunately he lost my business. Such a shame how rude people can be!! Exactly my point. You just weren’t prepared to listen to my query. You stock many other parts very similar to what I needed but you didn’t give me a chance to hear my query. And read back what you wrote in response. Very rude. We were given 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. Maybe be more compassionate, empathetic and apologetic to customer’s query, you will get more business. I’m surprised you have a business with that kind of attitude!!! Worst customer service I’ve ever had from a company!
Purchased replacement heater O rings, then I broke a fitting which they had in stock so all good! items sent via Parcel Force for next day delivery but unfortunately Parcel Force sent to wrong delivery depot meaning it ended up taking 5 days to arrive, upon filling I discovered my circulation pump was leaking. Checked on SpaComponents website and the Laing E5 was a good price at £164 gave them a call to check availability and advised about the delayed delivery on the previous order and he agreed to send it for free. Clicked to buy and proceeded to checkout only to find it was saying I needed to adjust my order quantity? Went back through the process only to find the price had changed to £210? phoned back to check what was wrong and was advised they had changed the price as the last lot they had received were more money? I advised it not really good business practice to change the purchase price of something when someone has it in there checkout basket! I Also advised it cheaper on Amazon than their new increased price, which he then advised to send a link!! why bother when he clearly does not care about customers! So I have gone with Amazon with free delivery and guaranteed next day delivery. I always prefer to give business to small local companies rather than the likes of Amazon but equally if they are not going to respect their customers and change prices when people have called up and actually have the item in their basket, then why bother! Do your homework, Spa Components have a great range of products but the customer service attitude is pretty poor!
Spa components, what can I say have tried not to give negative feedback but I feel people need to know. The attitude of the owner Carl is so off the mark, he talks over you all the time and will not listen. Communication is at best difficult, his web site email dos not work he doesn’t reply to inquiries, Great item choices but parts are not stocked and refunds take a while. My main point is I only want to spend money at this company and that means nothing to Carl. Make sure you know what your ordering before using this company.
Totally rude. Opening hours are a joke the place never seems to be open and when you call the number and ask if he is open you get told he’s flat out busy he wasn’t the other day when I gave him £250 cash for a cheap Chinese pump what more can I say.
Have just ordered a new heater and ozoneater , I called as there were different part numbers. The chap I spoke too was very helpful explaining that even though there are different part numbers for the same part its all the same as that is how Balboa have done it. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He went and checked they had stock before I ordered and it arrived within a day. Dont understand why there are poor reviews.. I guess because you just pushed buy and it didn't come without reading their reply.i say this as I had ordered and paid but had ordered 2 parts. Within 30 mins I had a call saying did I really want w ozone units . A refund was issued within 15 mins. Please don't read the bad reviews.. call them to make sure they have stock because this is a very good company
The pump on my Hot Tub needed replaced and I have never worked on a tub before, so I got the company who sold me the tub to quote me. They quoted £740 for a new pump, vat and fitting. I sourced the pump and a few accessories here for less than £300. The staff could not have been any more helpful and gave me guidance several times along the way, replying to emails within minutes on numerous occasions. I am very happy with their service, which was above and beyond. I am also very happy that I've saved hundreds of pounds. I would highly recommend.
I recently replaced all the internal parts in my old hottub. A nice upgrade to an old tub we just could not move for various reasons making a new tub a non starter After contacting several companies to explore my options i was loosing the will to live but Carl at Spa Components listened came up with a solution and provided all the parts within a couple of days. Carl provided first class after sales service helping out with a couple of little niggles. Not problems just things i didnt understand. A great company to deal with and a big thanks for your help I have no issues recomending their services.
Karls, knowledge of hot tubs and spas is frightening, He would decimate mastermind in this field. If i could give 10 stars, I would. Service and knowledge is outstanding and highly recommended. I called for a part with no knowledge of what I wanted and with 3 mins, all my issues were solved, this is with me asking , I need a part for a pump? when asked for which pump, I replied the other pump, not the big one. I have used Spa Components 3 times, while I renovate my hot tub, each time the service and knowledge has left me confident that the correct parts have been ordered, with full installation instructions. I ONLY USE SPA COMPONENTS NOW.
