There are a number of stations near to Wimbledon Tennis however, Southfields is the closest at .7 miles from the entrance.  Even though there is lots of advertising for the Championships, it isn't clear which when to go when existing the station.  Follow the crowds or turn right and cross the road to head in the right direction.

Nice station which is served by the district line there is a lift available from the ticket hall area to the platforms. This is the closest station to Wimbledon tennis club so when there is a event on this station is very busy.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the station supervisor on duty 30/07/24 who's name I didn't 5.20pm.nWho helped me when I passed out on the station platform from the heat. Thank you very much . I got home safe and feel much better now.

How can a first world country, a transport service that goes back centuries, still get the name on the train different to that on the station board?!nHonestly, for amount of training to be a driver 18months and the starting wage of £60k, you'd think you could manage getting the destination right. It shows Edgeware Road on the train, yet the board says 'City via Victoria', Excuse the timing of the image missing part of the text, but I was lucky enough to at least catch the train info before it flipped to District Line.nOddly enough, I caught train after that on the board says Edgeware Road, yet it was a City via Victoria...nGet it together.

Underground Zone 3 -District line. Step-free access. There are noToilets. Very busy during Wimbledon tennis.
