The house is very well kept, and my room was very pretty. Elizabeth did an excellent job of making me feel welcome, and made sure I had everything I may want. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Stirling again, I would certainly come back here. Rooms: Very clean and beautifully decorated. Nice ensuite bath. Walkability: Within a 20 minute walk of many of the major tourist sites, and tons of good restaurants. Also close to large shopping centers. Food & drinks: Breakfast was always good, and she has a menu of the usual continental breakfast offerings as well as hot dishes available.

We stayed here five years ago, and when I returned to Stirling this month after longer than expected I was relieved to find that Southfield is still a owned and run by the same lovely lady and b I was lucky enough to get a room. I didn't look at any other accommodation in Stirling and just booked without a second thought. That may be all you need to know. If not, read on... It's a traditional style bed and breakfast, but a good one of course. You can probably see with the benefit of Streetview etc that it's location is superb. On this occasion I was not stopping to see Stirling, just passing through, but it's still great to have everything a few minutes away. There are places to eat less than five minutes away if needed. The room is traditional, but comfortable and very clean. I ended up in the same twin room as before even though it was just me this time. That room has a nice window seat which is great for chilling out after the journey cuppa in hand. I think the small ensuite shower room had been updated since we stayed before perhaps. If not, it's been kept like it's new. Cooked breakfast was simple, good and tasty. There were some cereals and fruit available also. Enough off road parking for the three rooms.
Beautiful classic Victorian home with lovely furnishings. Everything is spotlessly clean. The host is very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was sensational - try the full Scottish! - and had many options to choose from. Best coffee we’ve had in ages. We had a great night sleep in our room that felt like a home away from home. Would definitely come back again! Thank you Elizabeth!

Great place to stay in Stirling. A quick walk from downtown and only 15 mins walking to the castle. Bright and cozy updated room with clean and modern bathroom. The bed was super comfortable. Internet very fast. Breakfast was delicious. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Great value!

Spent 5 nights here recently. I would highly recommend this b and b for the friendly welcome from Elizabeth, the comfy single room , the delicious breakfasts and the reasonable price. Perfectly situated with a very short walk into the city, ideal, if like me, you do not have a car.
Lovely host, very accommodating. Close to all of Stirlings amenities and touristy bits, cracking breakfast too. Highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
