We had an exceptional stay at Kilronan! The staff was absolutely amazing, very kind and helped with any need. The room was adorable and super clean. The bed was very comfortable. They were so kind to provide a baby cot for us as well. The breakfast was fabulous. We also had a problem with our rental car and the staff helped us so much and we could not be more grateful for their help and generosity. We will 100% be staying here again if we ever need to stay in Dublin again! Highly recommend staying here!
A lovely place to stay in Dublin. It's the best of both worlds being right off a busy area of town, but on a quiet street. The breakfast is worth it alone. The pancakes are a must, and a great Irish breakfast. The rooms are on the small side, and there are some stairs with awesome staff willing to help, but it's a perfect place to recover from jet lag.
We had a wonderful stay at Kilronan House. The hospitality was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. We will be looking to stay here again should we be fortunate enough to return to Dublin. The location is excellent. Close to pubs, restaurants, St. Stephens Green and more. We were able to walk to all of the sights we wished to see. Highly recommend.
Exceptional Service and an Unforgettable Stay! I recently stayed at Kilronan, and I must say, it was one of the most remarkable hotel experiences I’ve ever had, thanks to their exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond for my gluten-free vegan friend, providing her with thoughtful off-menu options like a vegan olive spread instead of butter and a fresh avocado daily. Their attention to dietary needs was truly impressive. When I caught a cold after a rainy visit to the Cliffs of Moher, the staff showed incredible care by warming up soup for me and ensuring my room was stocked with plenty of tissues. It was evident that they took great pride in their work and genuinely cared about our comfort. Overall, Kilronan House surpassed all my expectations. The dedication and professionalism of the staff were outstanding, making my stay truly memorable. If you’re seeking a place where you’re treated with the utmost care and every need is anticipated, this is it. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
First time in Europe.. stayed in downtown Dublin for the first few days, and then decided to wind down “somewhat” out of the downtown busy area at this B&B! Great location, still able to walk just about anywhere we needed to be. Clean & safe area! Check in upon the Kilronan was fine. We stayed on the very top floor, so carrying luggage up was tough we had help from the front desk, but it is a periodic building, so no lifts were expected anyways!! Bedrooms are small but comfy!!.. Only gripe we had was during our stay, we heard a woman of the staff screaming very loudly at a male staff member that we could hear from the top floor as we were walking down the steps… maybe this was a one time thing, maybe not… thought it was completely unprofessional being that it was in the very middle of the day and probably anyone staying in the building could hear it. Not sure what the situation was but she was VERY angry and slamming doors….. besides this, our stay was not wonderful, but not horrible. For the price, would have loved a better experience.
Well located, cute hotel on a quiet street. We stayed at Kilronan house for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were helpful and the hotel located in 2 buildings was well decorated in a cozy, comfortable room way. It’s not a 5 star hotel so don’t expect all the amenities but you don’t need them- everything is perfect as is. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was a good size. It was also very quiet- we were there during Pride and the taylor swift concert and I didn’t hear anything. I’m a light sleeper so I appreciated this! It’s walking distance to Temple Bar and Trinity college without all the noise and commotion. If you’re looking to be right in the thick of things, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quiet and safe place to lay your head after a busy day of exploring though, give Kilronan house a go. I doubt that you’ll regret it!
A great base for a short trip to Dublin: reasonably quiet location, comfortable bed, super shower, sumptuous breakfast, helpful/friendly staff. Would stay again if visiting the city. Walkability: Easy walking distance from Harcourt tram stop.
Friendly welcoming staff. Quiet location an easy walk through St Stephens Green to shops with transport options not too far. I booked a small single room which was beautifully appointed, warm and comfortable. Great bathroom with instant hot water. I was accommodated in the next door property which I enjoyed as it has more of a private residence atmosphere. Breakfast included is delicious with very generous servings. Great value for money. A most enjoyable stay Rooms: Small single room was perfect for my needs.
I loved my stay at the Kilronan House! The room was spacious, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It was a comfort to take a nice hot shower with good water pressure after a cold day walking around Dublin. The guesthouse is small and quiet and only a 5-6 minute walk to St Stephen’s Green, 10-15 to the top of Grafton Street. Plus, you can pick up the Dublin express to the airport just around the corner from the hotel on Harcourt. The staff are very friendly and professional, offering tea and biscuits in the afternoon in the salon. By far, the breakfast is outstanding! Hot coffee, delicious cinnamon and honey porridge, and a complete Irish breakfast, among many other offerings, is not to be missed! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
I really liked this place. Friendly and helpful manager and staff. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and tasty. Perfect poached eggs, not had that any where else I had had breakfast in Ireland. Nice and quiet, 10-15 min walk to free museums. 1/2 to where the busy night life is Graftin st and Temple bar. Well worth the money. Rooms: Clean and nicely decorated. Nearby activities: Lots of night life, shows and other stuff to do. Food & drinks: Lots of different restaurants. Drinks very expensive in some places. £15 for short and soft drink.
