Southerndown Beach

Beautiful and picturesque. Lovely place to take children or just go for a lovely walk and enjoy the views. There are also toilet facilities which is a bonus.

Went at high tide our fault completely for not checking the times but it was still lovely. We spent an hour or two just running across the rocks haha. There are toilets not far from the beach, so no worries there, but we had a really good day!

Lovely afternoon, we enjoyed a picnic at the tables behind the bottom car park. It could do with a couple of bins in the picnic area, bit it was clean and tidy. We enjoyed a stroll on the beach and a little paddle. Beach was clean, groups of people adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Lovely little beach with surprisingly warm sea. Plenty of sand but also nice flat rocks ideal for shelter and sitting with picnics. Also a beautiful walled garden so perfect for a costal walk.

Fantastic geology and history in one place. Lovely views. Very quiet on a Wednesday afternoon but judging all the no parking cones must be a nightmare some times!
