the students are getting given positives for giving good reviews which is the school and teachers way of making the students feel good about themselves and at the end of terms if they have enough positives they are given rewards that can go up to the price of £100 which i think is outrageous. Also i have been in lessons with no teachers as some staff members are leaving because of the terrible offsted reports that the school has received recently. I have also seen no new teachers being hired to fill the gaps of the good staff that have left to get good jobs at good schools. I wish that the people at the head of the school actually did something and would care. It is also said that the governors and the headteacher of the school recently held a parents evening and the head repeatedly said he had a plan that he would start immediately, but nothing has been done and the school is still as bad as when i joined if not worse.

Such a sad waste of public money, so much potential but poorly delivered. Many talented member of staff have slipped through there fingers through frustration and poor management. The UTC model could be so good for so many students if delivered and managed well. Disappointing to see the facility and opportunity been wasted. Lets hope somebody can turn this around before it falls down completely.

As I parent I've been really impressed by the UTC. I have met and talked to all of the staff that teach my son and have been impressed by their thorough approach. As a college it is very well suited to young people with ASD thanks to a caring and committed SENCO (and her team) and a good level of understanding across the board, combined with smaller class sizes and its focus on STEM subjects. The UTC have been accommodating of special requests and individual teachers have responded to email questions very rapidly. My son's academic progress has been significant.

Excellent facilities, but currently not enough teachers to help us use them.
