Absolutely amazing food! Our brunch crew got there for 10:30am Saturday where we were promptly greeted by the friendly server Daniel. Menu was detailed with reasonable prices, delicious eats, good service, and pleasant ambiance. We’ll definitely be coming back!Food: 5/5
It was great to be back here. They always have a great menu, great staff and some carefully chosen local wines. We love their back patio in the summer. It’s a great space! Vegetarian options: They always have a few vegan appies and entrees to choose from. Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options
Incredible hidden gem on Main Street!!! This is a must try for any foodie in Vancouver. The flavours are curated so meticulously by the talented chefs. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is also impeccable. Their brunch is the best I’ve had in the entire City. Go and get your GRUB!Food: 5/5
It’s been awhile since we’ve been but it’s just as good as I remember it. Menu has changed a little and some of my favorites aren’t on there but Grub is still putting out delicious interesting vegan and non vegan meals inspired by flavors from around the world. Their wine menu is on the smaller side but very well selected and mostly from our local wineries. We’ve discovered great wines from them! The people there are down to earth, friendly and passionate about the food so it is a lovely experience. Grub is a must try and just a heads up it can get loud inside but the outside seating is perfect!
We enjoyed everything so much! Particularly the scallops and the mushroom salad. These are must trys.. The portions are big and extremely worth it for the price. It is a small restaurant, so reservations are recommended
Update: It has been only a year and it is so sad that I have to change my review. The Halloumi French toast tastes different. The cut is too thick and the bread tastes not as good, and the whole dish is more bland. Service was so so. The restaurant was very cold. The new mushroom toast dish is too creamy and saucy… heartbroken… Old comment: I would begin by saying that the experience is mind-blowing. The soup of the day, and not to mention the French toast which was my favourite, immediately raised our expectations for the rest of the meals. The seared scallop was delicious and light. I like how the rice that came with it has a lot of veggies and a spark of spiciness and juiciness when bit into. The pork belly was cooked so well that it was crispy and the fat just melted in my mouth like a dream. It will take too long to describe every dish but every dish didn’t disappoint and this is the type of food that you could feel the chef’s ingenuity and creativity. We were really pleased. It is a rather small restaurant but definitely a hidden gem.
One of our favorite restaurants in the city. Always have an interesting vegan option. Backyard patio is nice in the summer. Good value for the quality of food you get. Vegetarian options: Always at least one veggie main course available, usually can be made vegan Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available, even had vegan ice cream with dessert!
Phenomenal! Grub has been around for some time but I only made it over recently and was blown away by the food & service. I had the halloumi French toast; which itself was small but you want to savour it anyways bc it’s the perfect blend of sweet and savoury! and it comes with a salad, 2 eggs and potatoes making it a substantial brunch item. The decor is simple yet modern and the server was very friendly. Definitely coming back for dinner!
We went to Grub to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It was good food and reasonable prices for Vancouver. We enjoyed our meal and place. We sifted outback at the patio, a summer night, good thing no bugsFood: 5/5
The decor is super cool. Little area out back for quiet dining. Inside has awesome atmosphere. But the food.. the food is what brings you here. We had the warm salad, the onion and Brie tart and king oyster mushroom salad. Son had bolognese. Daughter had a side of scalloped potatoes. All dishes were 5/5. Except the bolognese. It was 6/5. So damn good. Vegetarian options: So so many options. Dietary restrictions: They were able to make any cocktail non alcoholic.
