Oh my god ! Food is absolutely delicious, can’t remember when i had such a nice Italian meal in restaurant in UK. People working here are also amazing, vey polite and friendly. I can definitely recommend. It’s a shame I don’t have such a great place where i live. Thank you

We booked the restaurant for the celebration of life after my mother's funeral on 27.03.23. Not only myself but all of our guests - not sure how many there were to be honest but about 50 - ran out of superlatives to describe the food, the hospitality, the amazing staff and everything else about this family run restaurant. They had not previously taken this type of booking and we were as suggested unsure off numbers but they closed the restaurant for us at what we considered to be an excellent price and I can't really imagine how anything could have been better. We will return, as will many guests who had not previously dined there again and again and again. Thank you to each and every one of the staff. Anne  Kid-friendliness: There is a cliche that suggests Italian people all love children. Well based on our experience this must be true. We had little ones from 6 months old to 16 and every one was made welcome and engaged by the staff. OK we have well-behaved children but they are noisy! First visit today and I can't recommend highly enough. The staff were so welcoming and family friendly. Absolutely gorgeous to the children and courteous and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was fast, fresh and delicious. We were bedraggled from swimming and the rain but we were treated like important guests. Can't wait to return. Thank you to all the staff

Lovely restaurant, food is amazing and the staff are fabulous. Went as a family of 20 for mums birthday and nothing was to much !! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be visiting again. Young lady who served us could not do enough. 10/10 for everything !

We went on a Saturday evening. It was good to see a restaurant so busy in these times of economic problems, but in fact this made the place so noisy that our group of three struggled to hear each other. Added to this was completely unnecessary music making it a less than enjoyable experience. There was also the impression of having too many tables crammed into the space. I'm sure the waiters were trying to make it atmospheric, but repeated " bellissima" and other comments about beautiful ladies were unwelcome. Would a group of men be told they were good looking? I doubt it. Having said that, service was attentive, and quick enough, given the numbers of diners. The food was good and the prices reasonable to a bit pricey: just under £100 for two starters, three main courses, 4 glasses of wine and a tonic. I would definitely recommend the restaurant but not on a Saturday evening if you want to have a quiet conversation with your friends. For a lively event, why not?!

Came here for my 60th birthday on Christmas Eve. I had booked it 6 weeks earlier. Good job. It's always busy. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. All the time. We try and come here often even just for a pizza/ pasta. We are never disappointed. Thanks again Sorrento.

Absolutely fantastic food at a great price. The service was superb from the moment I called to get a reservation. Excellent. We will go back again and again.

Best place to eat in formby without a doubt. Service is amazing, become a regular and you feel like family. Food is great and the specials they have are unreal. So glad we have this in formby.

Love Sorrento my family’s regular dining experience, great decor, Uber friendly staff, great lively atmosphere, great food the specials are fine dining quality not fine dining prices and the wine fantastic .. our favourite is the Carissa Sicilian white !! Great restaurant guys don’t change anything !! Dave and lisa x
