Well I can honestly say I want sure I would find a dress on arrival as I couldn't see what I thought I wanted. Bit was I wrong! The ladies were so helpful and really did find my perfect shape and price point I would send anyone here. Thankyou to them both for a great experience and I cant wait to wear my dress!
Amazing experience, I felt like a princess for the day. I had an experience which was very tailored for myself and was really well looked after. As a plus size bride I was really nervous and had some bad experiences already but they made me feel amazing and beautiful and I found the perfect dress! Could not fault them!
Although I did not buy my dress here, it was by far my favourite bridal shop that I visited. Firstly they are so welcoming and facilities are great! Who doesn’t love a gin bar? The selection of dresses is incredible. There are so many sizes! Any size bride can try dresses on here. I was a bit of a nightmare and tried on so many dresses. They were all stunning but not the one. I had such a good time and to be honest, I would love to come back just to play dress up! I recommend this bridal shop to anyone I know that gets engaged, due to the variety of styles and sizes.
I can't recommend Somerset Bridal enough! After visiting 2 other bridal shops I was completely blown away by the service, atmosphere and fun I had here. We were offered a selection of drinks upon arrival, at no extra cost and we were the only party in the shop throughout the fitting. We were given plenty of time to look through all the dresses and there was no judgement at all on styles or size! They had much more suitable sized dresses in there that you could actually try on compared to other places. I was given the time and space to get into the dress on my own and just had to shout when I was ready to be zipped in, there was no awkwardness and I felt so comfortable! I was thrilled to say yes to my dresses her and was presented with a list of seamstresses and a goodie bag - such a great experience and one I will never forget - thank you!
I wish I could get married every year just so I could visit this outstanding bridal shop and try on their selection of gorgeous wedding gowns. Seeing the new stock on their socials makes me want to do it all over again! I truly love the whole ethos of Somerset Bridal as a lot of other bridal shops don't stock plus sizes, or if they do, have a limited selection. They really do cater for all body shapes and sizes, stocking most designs in both plus size and smaller sizes. I also love that each dress has a bespoke name linking to strong, influential women I believe, making it easier to remember favourites when going through their massive selection. I was in the early stages of pregnancy when I visited due to have baby 3 months before my wedding!. The ladies were so lovely, patient and helpful when it came to finding my perfect dress, and when we did, they helped guide me on sizings that would allow for any sneaky pregnancy pounds gained. My mum, nan and bridesmaids also loved and made use of the beautiful gin bar, even though I had to have a coke! Thank you so much for all your help and kindness and I would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone!
5star and more. The most amazing wedding dress experience. I have never been made to feel more confident more sexy more accepting of how I look. Their help was second to none. They took the time to get to know me and found me the most amazing dress that I couldn't help but feel like a disney princess in. It is just you and who you bring with you in the shop you are given time to really make sure you are 100% happy. Will be recommending to anyone in the future
Visited Somerset Bridal today, and I found my dress. The ladies here were so lovely, very welcoming and easy to talk to. They made it such a special experience with the extra touches throughout the appointment. I can't wait to come back and see my dress again.
Absolutely amazing experience at this bridal boutique. such a warm and friendly welcome and put to ease straight away! they have such a gorgeous range of dresses you're almost guaranteed to find your perfect dress. I didn't feel under pressure at all and was guided through choosing the best dress for me. nothing was too much of an ask, no pressure at all, i had such an amazing day. thank you so much for helping me pick my dream wedding dress!
Beautifully presented and some wonderful dresses but not the only place around that cater for fuller figured women. The atmosphere soon changed when I said sadly I couldn't afford their prices and enquired about a sale rail my wedding was in three months time due to being pregnant. I understand a business is being run but I felt like I no longer mattered if I wasn't going to part with 2 grand. At the end of the appointment I was placed in a dress that resembled my Nan's curtain and I could have it for a very generous £900, that being my shape, size and pregnant I wouldn't find anything anywhere else in the short time frame given. I didn't feel special, I looked okay, but myself and my Mum didn't even get emotional. I was told women rarely cry when they try on their wedding dresses and that it was more done for effect in films so not to worry that I didn't cry. £900 is a lot of money for a small wedding and a little nipper on the way so I dug my heels in and said I'd think about it. On the way back home me and my Mum popped into another shop in Taunton, Izzy Stockton/Bride & Bloom and came away with the dress that did make me and my Mum cry! Oh and it's only a size 18 which given my size, shape and that I'm pregnant I'm pretty pleased with. Even more pleased that when I went back last week for a fitting it had to be taken in drastically!! If you're curvaceous girls, shop around. You will see the most beautiful dresses here and you can have the best time getting drunk with your friends but don't feel obliged to buy and certainly don't be made to feel that a £2000 dress is your only option because you're fuller figured.
Such an amazing experience, lots of dresses in ever size, colour, style and cut you could ever imagine, plenty for me to try on which was initially a worry being a bigger girl. Everyone was so so friendly, helpful and patient and went above and beyond for me and I'm so grateful after a bad experience at another bridal this took away all anxiety. At times I felt like a princess with my own cheerleader squad thanks to all the lovely comments for the staff! Amazing! Would and will recommend to everyone!
