When my son died unexpectedly Ihad no idea how I was going to scrape together a deposit let alone pay for a whole funeral. All I wanted was a very basic funeral, no celebrant, no organ,just collect him from Southern General hospital in Glasgow, dressed and put in a very basic coffin and taken to the crematorium.
I went to 4 different Undertakers and three of them ranged between £2400 and £2919 with no leeway, even when we offered to to arranged our own collection from the hospital.
George Currid listened to what I wanted to do for my son and did everything he could to help and advise me including bringing the price down to under £2000.  George was very attentive, he came to house when he said he would and arranged everything I wanted.  I cannot thank him enough. Jeannette

Ps I would advise anyone to start paying up their funeral now.  None of us knows what is around the corner and we all die in the end.
