Moved house approximately 7 years ago and got virtually all my lights for the kitchen lounge hall porch and stairs from Solihull lighting....went back recently to buy lights for my neice as a new home present and was very disappointed. The shop only had half of the usual stock, it use to be full of all designs and you could see lights suitable for all properties however it's now full of oversized ''blingy' lights. I appreciate that there are books and online to view however the shop floor needs variety for customers to see. for every kind of property however now it's full just full of iver sized
We spent a while looking through their website to find lights we liked the look of and went into the shop today to see if we could see any of them in person. We are doing a full gut and refurb on a house, so we need a lot of lights. Not one of the lights we liked from their website were on display in the store. No big deal, we understand they have limited space. We asked what the return policy is given we'd be ordering 1000s of pounds worth of lights from their website sight unseen. We were told they can't be returned. This is completely against the Consumer Contracts Regulations which require a 14 day cooling off period for items purchased that haven't been seen in person. It's also completely at odds with the returns policy on their website! We would have been making a very large order, but we will be taking our business somewhere with less shady practices.
Really helpful staff and friendly. Have bought a few lights from here and they are patient and knowledgeable. Great choice of lights, and many furnishings. A few parking spaces outside, but not many. Failry large store with a maze of lights. Reasonable prices and plenty to choose from.
Lovely customer service , beautiful shop so much choice. Makes you want to buy …. And I did . Replace some crystal rods that broke off my light that I bought 9 years ago
I purchased a very large chandelier before Christmas. Despite being really well packed, one of the glass decorative flowers was broken. I telephoned & spoke to Rachael who asked me to take a photo of the damaged flower. Within 3 days I had a replacement glass flower. Now that's what I call excellent customer service. Since installing the chandelier I've communicated with Rachael & I am over the moon with her kind approach & outstanding customer service. I will certainly recommend Solihull Lighting to friends & family & will continue to be a customer of theirs.

Have left message on answerphone, sent e-mail re purchase but nobody seems bothered for sale of possibly £500+. Think I'll go elsewhere as the don't seemed to be bothered!!!
The personal touch as soon as you walk through the door. Friendly knowledgeable people in a breathtaking showroom. It was worth the trip from Worcester . We found our bedroom light fitting and will be back for other light fittings we love for the rest of our home
Arrogant staff who don't even acknowledge you walk into the store. Was going to order but just can't give my money to rude ignorant people
A very good lighting shop with a good range- if they haven't got it they will try and source it for you-the staff are friendly don't pester you just advise when help is required - there is easy parking on the front and it's disability friendly
