Peruse the great bikes and accessories whilst drinking one of their great coffees, whats not to like.
Despite having other bike shops closer to me than Soho Bikes, I will now only visit them. The staff are just perfect - I've never met nicer, more knowledgeable or accommodating people. I recently bought my bike from them and they really went the extra mile to help with all aspects of the purchase. I was even given a free coffee whilst I went through the finance side of things which was the best coffee I've had. When I picked it up I asked the chief mechanic, Mario if he could run me through the setup and he stopped what he was working on to show me what's what. That level of care is pretty rare these days but it means that they've got a customer for life. Incidentally, the quality of their mechanical work is top notch. The set of wheels that were built and put on my bike are so strong that you could put them on a tractor and they'd roll perfectly. Even if you don't have a massive interest in bikes, they're worth visiting to witness the sheer beauty of machines that they have downstairs. I've never visited a shop so well equipped with the latest and greatest bikes/kit. Regardless of what I need in the future you can guarantee that I'll be getting it from them. TL;DR - go to Soho Bikes if you're either thirsty or need a bike. Long live Soho Bikes!
This place loves bikes and their customers. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, especially on mountain bikes. They offer a good selection of gear and spares, with a changing room. The cafe is great and is a cool place to meet and have a brownie. Top marks from an avid cyclist.
I've not tried the bike service, as I fear too much for my life in London to ever ride one outside the park. But I have been assured by the braver of my bike owning friends that for those cycling inclined can find top notch, friendly help and service here. I have unsurprisingly tired the coffee - and rest assured, the rumors are true. It's bloody good! There is only one small table to sit at in here, after all it's not a coffee shop that's just an added perk. So I'd recommend anyone wanting to try this place out to be aware you'll be getting it to go.
Googled a cycle shop near me to buy some inner tubes. They had a high rating so I thought worth the 9 min walk. The mechanics were perfectly helpful in getting an inner tube for me. I knew the length 700 but wasn't too sure on width. They gave me 700*23c -25c. They said this is the standard size for road bike but if I needed a larger one then don't hesitate to come back and exchange it. I thought that was nice to say. Cafe looked cool. I'm sure you could bring your bike in cafe space but couldn't see dedicated space for it.
I can only speak about the coffee: very good and served with a smile every time. Some space to sit. The workshop looks top notch, but I haven't had my bike serviced there.
I really like this bike shop! Nice bunch of people, who offer a really good service, bought a few bits and pieces all good. Work colleague took his fixed wheel/free hub bike in for service and looks like they did a good job. I got a Marathon puncture proof outer from them and that was quick and easy too!! Soho Bikes serviced my bike this week well pleased. They texted me when it was ready, and I have done quite a lot of miles on it the last couple of days and it is running nicely. Great shop and nice people to do business with. Posted a photo of Matthew standing behind my hybrid in their service bay. Astonished as to how neatly Mario keeps all his tools, really very impressed.
Stopping by to check an T-Shirt and drink an excellent coffee. So nice Shop with friendly staff.
Great little place in Soho to get seriously good coffee - and it also happens to be a specialist bike store. I'm not a bike person, I just go for the coffee. Chilled out and relaxed, great place to escape the office mid morning or afternoon and watch people walking up and down Berwick Street.
Awesome little shop. Nice coffee and some cool clothes too! Hardware selection is limited, but they have the essentials. Friendly staff & there's always the possibility of bumping in to a Mountain Biking legend or two also!
