Despite checking the website for opening times, it was shut more than an hour after the published time. Telephoned to ask when they would be open and spoke to a very confused gentleman who couldn't give me an exact time as they were "doing a deep clean". They're supposed to open at 1pm Mon to Thurs and noon Fri, Sat & Sun. It was Friday when we visited. They should have either altered the website to notify people of later opening or done the deep clean earlier so it wouldn't interfere with opening times.
What a stunning cosy pub - brilliant atmosphere. Dog friendly, great selection of drinks and including non-alcoholic and snacks/free dog treats. Kate landlady & her family are lovely and really welcoming - all the staff are very friendly. The Snipe shows football on multiple screens which is fab and derby day was fantastic - 100% recommend you visit!
Lovely little pub, pool room in the back. Good selection of ales. Car park is handy, don't forget to put your registration number into the terminal on the bar.
We had a fabulous day here yesterday for the Derby. It was very cosy and clean, the staff were down to earth and friendly. The kids absolutely loved it, too, and are already asking if we can go back! We are looking forward to returning
Hi all called in for a drink not been in for a few years Was welcomed by a lovely lady who was the landlady She was very pleasant i had a couple of drinks She has also got sky sports for all games nice and clean available for all functions party's ect We spoke and to be honest Please give the snipe a look She's doing her uttermost best and with all wats goin on in the world with inflation rates And keeps on going to her best ability she would like it to work so much I could tell that it was in her heart the way she talked about it all She's a very pleasant lady So pop in and have a look Thanks again for lovely evening see you soon Tony xx
Had a party booked and price agreed per head for catering, figures given as requested after Easter for them to then change the price increasing it from 6.50 per head to 9.95 per head, that's over 50% increase! Joke of an establishment and poorly managed response from owners!
Visited the Snipe pub Audenshaw last night with Crimewatchers. It was lovely to meet Kate licensee she was very warm and welcoming and showed her support in the work that Crimewatchers are doing for our community. This is a family pub. Im looking forward to the family fundraising events in the summer that Kate plans on organising and supporting both Kate and Crimewatchers in achieving a great community spirit at these events x
Me and my family had a fantastic time at this pub yesterday. Dion the Landlady was absolutely wonderful especially with our three children, she let our son put fresh logs on the fireplace and was happy to get him another sausage with his meal free of charge. The food was all home cooked and everything was delicious, the pie of the day was the best pie I have ever had. We had a few games of pool in the pool room too and thought it was great that it's separate from the rest of the pub. We all left feeling like we'd been to an aunties house for dinner rather than a pub. Unfortunately we're not local but if we were we'd be back every weekend!
What a lovely cosy family pub the atmosphere is great & the landlady and family are so welcoming will definitely be returning , derby day was great very busy and managed perfectly x
Very warm and cosy local pub! We organised party for 20ppl. Perfect communication with owner, great atmosphere, didn’t had any issues definitely can recommend for pint or family party!
