Really pleasant & helpful staff. I use the library to use the computers for the purpose of printing off my documents and its very cheap to do this.

I have been visiting this dismal library for the past 5 years, and this place hasn't improved one bit since then.  The staff are clueless, or seem to be very arrogant when it comes to dealing with enquiries.  The toilet facilities are disgusting; no hand wash and not allowed to use it if someone is desperate; the computers are very outdated; books are very old and limited in choice; ordering and making a stock suggestion gets you a big no in response; the opening times are appalling; canteen is filthy and small as well as being occupied by rude school pupils who just come in and start making a racket; there are hardly any worthy study areas where you can study quietly; windows are shut at all times and members of the public are shouting effing this and that with friends and on mobile phones constantly in the presence of staff; parents and little one's in the library itself.  This library needs improving drastically in my humblest opinion!!!

I visited this library once and I don't intend on visiting again. The atmosphere wasn't great. The library staff weren't very approachable. The cafe area around the front had creepy men who just stare at you. Overall the library did not have a welcoming feeling at all

I have been looking for a book for a while and the staff were extremely helpful on the phone. By the time I reached the library, the book was ready for me. Also the atmosphere in there is calming

I happen to attend the library after many years, very impressed by the service provided in Smethwick. Staff were helpful too.  Well done.

This library is quite small but the staff are friendly and it has free WiFi and enough computers to serve the people that need to use them.

Great place only open for pre booked collection and computers need to be booked in advance for a 45minute slot
