I put in a 3piece suit and 7shirts asked how quick I could get these items dry cleaned and ironed.. was told if I put them in on the Saturday I could pick them up the following Saturday.. brilliant as I had a business trip starting the following Wednesday.. came to pick them up on the Saturday oh only the suit was ready.. asked why the shirts were not ready got told they couldn't help if the person who was doing them was ill.can I pick them up Monday they should be ready... my reply was that doesn't help me as I'm working till 6 in the evening and your closed at 5pm.. can you deliver them I asked. no. in fact there was no help from these people and their customer service was zero. would not recommend these guys .
I took a pair of curtains in to be taken up. They weren't large, and just lightweight so a fairly simple job. They charged me £43 the curtains cost less than that. When they came back from the 'tailors', the hems were not only uneven, but the curtains were a different length to each other. I asked for them to be redone, but when sent back, the 'tailors' said it was impossible as the eyelets were uneven. They gave me them back in the same condition. I then took them to a local seamstress who charged me less than half the price and made a beautiful job of sorting out the mess they'd left. 3 emails later, Smarty have not responded to my request for a refund. Do not use for alterations. Would have given zero stars if I could.
Had dry cleaning on a dress and jacket and I was delighted with results.
I took a treasured Turkish kilim rug to be cleaned at Smartys Sept 2016 - they lost this item and I have still not been reimbursed! I have followed this up numerous times and have had little or no reponse. As I do not have the receipt for this item, they have offered to reimburse me the minimum amount, which I have reluctantly accepted although the money is not the point, despite the fact that I would not be able to buy anything similar with the money they have offered - but this has not yet been paid. I have contaced them numerous times over the intervening months, to no avail. I have had things cleaned satisfactorily by Smarty's, but would not advise anyone to take anything they value, or is irreplacable, to be cleaned there.
Still selling real fur! Why? Do you have any clue about the horrendous cruelty that is involved just for a tiny bit of dead fur on the end of a bobble hat? I will never step foot inside this shop, and anyone with any empathy shouldn't either. 0 starts if I could.
Diabolical customer service. Ruined a £195 Reiss dress then couldn't be bothered to call me back as promised. Will never use them again.
Daughter bought me one of the sparkly hats shown in their window, I'm disgusted to find it's REAL FUR !!!! Angry doesn't even cover it !!!
