Customer service is slow and have nothing between the ears Hidden charges on claims They do not cover breakdowns even with breakdown cover, it’s just the engineer call-out fee covered. They charge for everything else that you expect to be included Takes weeks to resolve any issues; namely boiler and appliance issues. I advise paying a little more and going with a reputable provider
Rip of insurance company, they are an absolute scam, at the time of claim they are saying I didn’t advise them I had an “American” fridge freezer. Firstly his was not a selectable option! Secondly I provided them with all the product details at the time of application and they did not advise any different. They are simply out there to rip you off at time of claim. They are asking me to pay £250 excess fee for a £225 toward the new product. Absolute scam avoid this company at all costs!
If I could give minus stars i would, bought home emergency cover for my elderly neighbour a month ago.. still haven't even received an email or paperwork to back it up! numerous calls to an answerphone, numerous calls to retry and speak to someone - nothing. Wish I'd never bought the stupid policy, they were so quick to call me as soon as i was active on their website.. avoid at all costs. Now my neighbour has a leaking tap, she's got no chance of even speaking to someone, let alone getting it fixed!
Opened claim on the 3rd of June. Engineer came 2 weeks after, looked at dishwasher put it on and off and said it’s fixed. Obviously it still doesn’t work. Called them again 4 times and all they keep saying they will send engineer again. Haven’t heard nothing for neaely 2 weeks now. Cancelling immediately as this is a joke. Do not go with them!!
Worst insurance company i ever dealt with.Do not waste your money. It took them four week to sent an engineer to look at the broken down washer dryer. And then they offered me a replacement and asked me to pay £220 towards engineer visit cost, delivery etc , where it should've been a straight forward repair or replacement of the same or similar item.This company is run by scammers. Read the other reviews. Even the engineer told me that they don't pay them after finishing a job hence they now only work for them if they get paid upfront. And also advise me to stay away from them in future. Stay away! And get your insurance from a reputable insurer.
This company used to be so good now it’s a shambles. Reported a job in February now June been passed from pillar to post told me my part was sent out didn’t receive made so many calls a real shambles STEAR CLEAR 6 years of 20£ a month then forced to leave when I dared make a claim for 2 poxy fridge draws. Bunch of white collar thieves
have paid for my home emergency cover for years and wanted to claim for the 1st time. We have a leaking pipe in the kitchen. The waters drips out quite slowly and fills up a bucket in about 1 day. The issue started happening about 1 week ago. The customer advisor told me that this is not an emergency and is not covered! What a joke. Will cancel my policy straight away.
Avoid at any cost. Complete joke. I had central heating leak , they said that's not covered as it is not emergency. If that is not emergency what is. Not to mention that people there cant make difference between boiler breakdown issue and central heating issue.I used to use home serve before never had issue. Madness spent all day back and forth for that time I would of looked YouTube and go to fix it it myself. Complete waste of money. Do not waste yours get proven companies
Absolutely ridiculous customer service! I've had an on going claim with them since October/November. I've had to do all the chasing as they never get back to me. No updates. Get promised response or contact within 48 working hours. Still no response a full week later!! Honestly a horrible company. Do not get insurance with them. Shop elsewhere! I know I'll be changing my insurance policy once they've finished my claim eventually!!! And I can start anew with a more reliable company!
Avoid them! I have been them for 2 years and they have been charging me £19.99 PM. I requested the first washing machine breakdown almost 10 days ago. Still no engineer has turned up. They are the cheapest in the market but they are the worst too! I would go back domestic general again. They just take your money and don't give damn about you! There are some positive reviews.. I bet those are their own people!
