Christopher Trigg Ltd has provided my insurance for personal and business requirements for over 20 years. They have always been excellent, providing the right cover for me at competitive rates, but most importantly with excellent, efficient and friendly customer service.
I have had the great pleasure of being advised and assisted by a few guys at Christopher Trigg. Initially I wanted to have my home and contents insurance covered through them, however the service was superb which has now led to me moving my business insurance to them as well. They are friendly, knowledgable, honest and offer a great service - I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
This insurer broker arranges insurance for the freeholder and managing agent BLR Property Management of one of my flats. The insurance charged to leaseholders was obscene. When I approached the same insurance company via my own broker to obtain a like for like quote I was shocked to find out this was only about a third of the insurance premium under the insurance cover organised by Christopher Trigg. It was explained to me that this is because Christopher Trigg is very likely to charge huge commissions and share these with BLR / the freeholder. The poor leaseholder then picks up the bill. What is concerning is that when I approached Dominic Trigg from this company he told me flatly that he couldn’t help because I wasn’t his client! So he relied on a technicality to carry on business as normal with impunity. If you are a leaseholder: challenge them! If you are a company with social responsibility and ethics: don't use them. My experience demonstrates they will do anything to get business, including aiding and abetting the unfair treatment of leaseholders.
I have known Dominic for some time now after the merging of Countrylife Insurance. Dominic and his team have proved to be a really effective insurance partner and assisted on some quite technical issues. I would highly recommend them and please feel free to contact me for a detailed reference.
