Should have read the reviews - this company has so many bad reviews already, I wish I checked them before placing an order. Firstly, the lead time for the order was unspecified and I had to keep calling every week. The staff was rude every time I called and would say that it has been dispatched, after which they would hang up the phone. I would call the following week only to have the exact same thing happen again. Over a month later, the product finally arrived - bent and split. I contacted the company for a refund and was told that they will provide a 50% refund, although the product is faulty. I think this is unacceptable and will look further into finding a suitable solution. Having rude customer service is one thing, but charging for a broken product which is unusable is another.
Ok, Interesting company. Website worked as it should; order went through fine, confirmations received & 10 day delivery confirmed. Day ten arrived and we then read these reviews and panicked. However, Tony did confirm our order would be despatched soon. Few days went by and still panicked we e-mailed again and Tony said it's on it's way. It was, and in total it took 18 working days to arrive. I received well packed; skirting, architrave & picture rail. A bit of light sanding and knotting compound, I then primed the wood myself. Good price and exactly as described on the website. You just need to be a bit more chilled out when dealing with them, accept it will arrive eventually and knowing this order in advance. I will order again because of Tony's help.
After contacting the company many times to find out when we could come to collect the windowboard we purchased, I was aggressively told "it's not ready yet" and "we will inform you when it is ready". This window board was then sent to me without my knowhow and delivered in the condition seen in the pictures. I then contacted the company to get them to refund the windowboard and the salesman wants me to pay for the postage to return the broken wood to him after his mistake of sending it, in order to get my refund. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE SHODDY GOODS!!
Zero stars. We ordered over £600 of wood work, to do all aspects of a room renovation. As others have said, you will get no automatic information about what is happening with your order. And calling them will have them give you information to get you off the call, they will promise it is coming on a day, and it won't. This will be repeated a few times, over a few weeks, and be the same whoever you speak to. Ours was eventually shipped after 4 weeks but the order was missing some key parts. We were promised they would then come on a set day which came and went. Eventually, these parts were delivered to the wrong house and left out in the rain. I only found out because I pushed the person on the phone to give me more information. They seemed really nonchalant about they situation. The quality of the parts is inconsistent, there are parts with cracks and chips in the wood, others have cuts from a saw in strange places, some are bent like bananas. We will see what we can do with it. Calling them back doesn't feel like it will make any difference.
I love my tall skirting boards. I put it all around my new home gym. I ordered 3 of them one of them was 4.2 meters which is good length for continuity. The turrets were great help because by placing them in the corners, we did not have to cut the skirting boards at an angle. They came as primed so I painted them with two coats of white wood paint and they looked stunning. I am a brand new DIY person with no previous painting or installing skirtings boards yet I managed. It was easy enough to use gripfill glue to stick them to the walls. The pictured one also screwed to the wall because it is holding up my very heavy purpose built gym mirrors. The result was elegant finish. If I can suggest One improvement, that would be the letting customer know when it will be manufactured and delivered in stages to help their planning. Overall very happy with them. I was surprised a a bit saddened when saw other customers bad experiences on their review. I hope the company took them seriously and learnt from those mistakes. My personal experience has been good. I bought my skirting boards in March 2023.
another 0 zero star review. placed order over 5 weeks ago. have received nothing and had only one unhelpful response to numerous emails and phone calls. as all the reviews suggest - avoid at all costs... .... follow up to the above.. i contacted my credit card company to chase on my behalf... finally after 2 months my order has arrived. - but its incorrect, not the sizes i ordered and cant be used. so poor
I understand why this company gets mixed reviews because I have had 2 totally different experiences. My first experience was great . Tony on sales was great and my order came within days. My skirting boards were great. No issues, I was impressed. When I fell short of skirting I called up to order another unit and that's when it went a bit pear shaped. The delivery didnt come when promised on 3 different occasions. I was on the phone daily and was promised it would be delivered but wasn't. Finally got my order but it was incredibly frustrating. Its a shame I was let down the second time. The company isnt bad, my skirting boards were lovely,I think they need to tweak their customer service a little more and sort out the issues with their deliveries. Better communication and updates on orders and deliveries would be a good place to start.
Terrible service. Items came rough and barely primed. Required fully sanding back to bare MDF to prime again. Tried to take this up with the company. Didn't action anything for 5 weeks. Refused to take the items back. Item was a different shape to the image displayed on their website. Don't buy from these people.
Absolutely horrific service. Please please don't waste your time with this company. They took payment of over £300 and provided no confirmation of order, despite many phone calls asking for them to send confirmation of my order details. I was blatantly lied to over the phone on multiple occasions 'your skirtings will arrive tomorrow etc etc' to which it never arrived. Still after 2 weeks of no confirmation of my order apart from the fact that they had managed to take the money from my account I still had no product. As a self employed tradesperson I had to post pone the job by 3 weeks as the skirting never arrived and then I had to order elsewhere. When asked for a refund for the product that never arrived they said I would only get a 50% refund. After hours of phone calls and a lot of stress I have had no choice but to escalate it through my credit card company. After complaining about the service, I was sworn at and hung up on. In all my time I have never encountered such a dishonest company
Please read the reviews!!! This company is shocking. There website only shows reviews from 4 years ago, if you go to Trust pilot now you’ll see what they really are. I have been chasing my order for 2 weeks, they’ve ignored most of my emails, eventually replied with ‘check the t and c’s’ if you want a refund attitude. No explanation of delays, just so rude. They don’t answer the phone. I’ve had to order from another company, skirting world, they are ace! 48 hrs and my order is here. Please please read the reviews and don’t use these guys. I have no skirting board from them and they have my money!
