I've been to the one in Rye so had high hopes. The staff were very friendly. The kitchen was very timely and made the food quickly. Unfortunately the food didn't match up to the one in Rye. It was nice enough but the main dish lacked full flavour. The Tiramissu was wet sponge like and again, lacked flavour. The price was good, but unfortunately I won't be going again.
Popped in for a late lunch decision with mum & partner. Very welcoming staff with smiles all round, got us a table straight away. Super quick service with really nice home done Italian food. Lovely spot overlooking the harbour. Make sure to pop in and visit. Thanks
Just a quick stop for cake and a coffee. The cappuccinos were perfect, and chocolate cake was one of the best I've eaten. Heaven! Hubby had a vanilla cheesecake which he also enjoyed very much. Highly recommended. Parking: Free parking nearby
Popped here for some lunch with the family. Have been here a few times down the years and have never had a bad meal. I fancied a starter this time round and went for the mussels cozze to start. Nothing to complain about here, they were tasty and got me in the mood for the N'duja pizza I had as a main. The base was nice and light, with bit of a crunch. But what made this pizza for me were the ingredients! The tomato base was very juicy and full of ripe tomatoey flavour and you could taste the milkyness in the fresh mozzarella, along with the spicy N'duja and the onion it made for a well balanced and tasty pizza! So, if you're in the area and fancy an Italian then definitely give this place a go! 4 stars as I just don't believe it's quite worthy of a 5 star meal. Service was good and staff were friendly! :
Cool place, I liked that it’s completely dog friendly and you could see many pups under the tables enjoying the heat indoors on a chilly day like today. The pizza was ok, electric oven. The tiramisù was a bit watery. We’ll come back because the service was very friendly and we’ll try another dessert next time. Thank you.
Wanted to love this place, the food… but… unfortunately the actual dining experience wasn’t great. We booked for 10 for a birthday and the team were lovely upon arrival… but… We did make a comment to the waitress about how the 2 £16 antipasti special the waitress hyped, as feeding 5-6 people. Was very disappointing, as we had to make 2 expensive antipastis work for 10. Few pieces of ham, a mozzarella ball, a few sundried tomatoes and a slice of garlic pizza bread were told it was going to be focaccia. The waitress didn’t say anything upon our complaint, and the bill wasn’t reflective of our complaint. We also had a hair in one of the mains, a lasagne - they took it away and got a new fresh one but we were still charged for this meal. We also asked for 2 pizzas to have extra chillis… this wasn’t done. All 3 had the same. It was super disappointing as it all started out so well and the staff were lovely upon entry.
I called up to book a table, the gentleman on the phone was very polite. When we arrived we were all greated with a smile and the customer service was outstanding. We all had a wonderful meal, the kids were very happy, the portion sizes were very generous for the price we paid. The food quality was excellent, the staff were very helpful, friendly and made my family feel very welcome and happy. I couldn't ask for more! The food arrived quickly and was very well presented and delicious. Thank you to everyone working, we had a wonderful family evening. Kid-friendliness: Brilliant menu for kids, many dishes to choose from amd very well priced. To top it off the portion sizes were very impressive for the price you pay.
We used to visit all the time and used to really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, unfortunately today wasn’t the greatest visit. We were seated straight away and the host staff were fine! However the calzone was completely uncooked in the middle, the cheese was still solid and the mushrooms were raw. My dad has subsequently since been quite ill all afternoon.
Been 2/3 times now. Still don’t rate the food. Not authentic. Went for Rat Pack Evening with group of friends. Great atmosphere and we all enjoyed that. I had the cannelloni. It was tasteless. The waffle dessert came with 2 scoops of the cheapest soft scoop ice cream and squinty cream. I thought Italian ice cream was supposed to be the best!!! Disappointing overall again.
I went to Simply Italian with my friend to lunch, we had a very good lunch and the staff was really lovely. Definitely we will come back. They make nice cocktails and the place has good views. Really recommend. Buona Domenica.
