Whilst away for the bank holiday We tried your dishes a family of 6, we couldn’t of been happier, the different flavours that was in your dishes were very tasty and value for money. Well done
Lovely dining experience, would highly recommend. Great food, drinks and friendly staff. The tables are immaculately laid with pristine white table cloths and sparkling glasses. You can see they take pride in what they do. We were hungry and expectant as the smells coming from the kitchen were very good. I couldn't resist a pint of cobra.. We ordered Simla special starters. Well presented mix of meats with the accompanying sauces and poppadoms were a good prequel to our mains. Very tasty. Chicken Tikka masala is one one my partners favourites so unusually I ordered the same with pilau rice and a Keema naan. The sauce was full of good flavours and the chicken pieces were cooked to perfection. My partner and were super happy with our food, her being a chef was a good seal of approval. Our portions were generous and there was no way we were leaving any. So the manager packaged what couldn't eat. We'll definetly be back soon.
I wouldn't believe the offers they claim to give. 20% off if ordered online for collection, which is exactly what I had done. I noticed they hadn't applied the discount so I called them and explained the situation. They have completely refused to honour the offer. There are other Indian restaurants in the area which serve just as good food, we have used them, I would suggest using one of the others.
Average food SLOW SERVICE - Asked for a CASH payment. Suggested I go across the road to the ATM at McColls and withdraw £80 for the meal. Not one of the diners were told, including a party of 10 and a party of Australians who did not want to have to withdraw cash at an exorbitant rate, from an ATM that the card machine was not working. The food was average with average plate sizes. The "Chef Specials" for which we paid a premium, were not particularly special, especially since the prawns were North Atlantic probably out of the freezer at Farm Foods and not King Prawns as you might expect. Although I booked a table, the waiter didn't seem to be bothered if I'd booked or not. Perhaps because it was so very quiet and the restaurant was less than a quarter full.. Apparently the card machine had been playing up BEFORE we arrived, yet we were not informed of this. Instead, I was embarrassed at the end of the meal, as was every other diner. I received £10 compensation. He refused to speak to me, even though I booked the table, and paid the bill, instead tried to speak to my wife. Eventually, I said, "OI! Speak to me, it's ME who's paying." I don't like being like that, especially as it was my mum's birthday, but he was being rude and ignoring all the protestations of all the diners When I asked if they had compensated the other parties, likewise, he went to the till, and dished out the tenners, under duress from other parties. Expect multiple complaints across various platforms by various diners, TrustPilot, etc, by infuriated customers. Our party was for my 81yo mother's birthday. NO special concession for that, unlike other reviewers, I note. It was spoilt over payment. Others scurried about trying to find the cash. Luckily it would seem, because it was midweek and not yet Holidaymaker season, there was enough cash at the ATM for everyone to pay for their meals, when we left, at least... Not sure about the party of 10, though... If the ATM had run out, as it does, diners would have had to trek down to Debenhams, by the harbour, and the HSBC ATM. Just as well it wasn't raining... AVOID, unless you bring bundles of cash with you for a relatively average meal.
Wow. Ordered delivery tonight and it was about 22:30 and the food arrived quickly and was hot. Tikka biryani was rammed full of chicken and the sauce was nice. Also ordered tikka masala. I’ve never had a tikka masala that has a kick and a slightly sour taste it was gorgeous! Not the normal overpowering coconut sweet taste. It was the first place they popped up on just eat would highly recommend
Had a very nice curry from here whilst on holiday. Delivered straight to our B&B piping hot by a very friendly lady. All in all very tasty keema rice was delicious. Shame you don't deliver to Wigan haha
Absolutely shocking. Been here many times and has been fair to good, tonight Manuel the waiter dressed in dirty trousers and a scruffy shirt was useless and the food was the worst I've had ever. 3 pieces of meat in a jalfrezi and when I complained was told what do you expect on a banquet night, there was a whole chopped onion with some dried up sauce and 3 bits of meat. Definately won't be going back here again, will go over the road to mahabarat .
Found this takeaway on our last night of our holiday. We had chicken balti and chicken korma with a rice and nan bread. Great value and excellent food, staff very polite and helpful, would definitely recommend
Omds the worst place there was a mosquito inside we asked a waiter to change it he start shouting an swearing be careful there's a bold fat bengali man ready to attack and take your money an he said he doesn't care if your from Birmingham. Please recruit staff who have manners.
Really tasty curry. One of the best I've had for a while. Reasonably priced and good service. Will go back for sure when we are next in Torquay.
