We spent three days here at the beginning of our holiday with plans to use it as a base for seeing other places before moving on to Skye. Ended up spending all but 4 hours on the site it was so nice. Best part of our trip was here, previous site was near loch Lomond and no where near as nice. Yes other sites might have really new modern bathrooms etc. but the ones here were spotlessly clean for our visit and never busy. I'll let the photo's speak for themselves. Very dog friendly, but also a great site for a family especially if you have paddle boards or canoes. also seemed good for anyone interested in fishing. Some visitors did some early morning open water swimming. Water always looks very very clear. Photo's show our van and the views of the sunset and the view from in the van. Just chill, read, listen to some Radio 2 , eat nice healthy food and unwind. 3 days did as much unwinding as we could have expected from 10 days. Oh , and the owner/staff were so nice and helpful. good chat with them, but never had an other reason to interact as everything just worked as expected. Nice touch that the little room to wash up in had a microwave and toaster available to use.
We just spent one night here in a motorhome and we loved the site. The location is on one of the nicest beaches in Arisaig, the pitches also have spectacular views across to Eigg and Rhum. The owner is friendly and helpful and the facilities are exactly what you need, electric hookups, waste water disposal, black waste disposal and fresh water available. Would recommend!
The location is great, really great. So close to the most beautiful stretch of sea, surrounded by tall hills and some of the inner islands of Scotland. It feels remote, but is close to Malaig that has all the services you need plus a great bakery and a good fish & chip shop. The site itself is clean, well equiprd, organised and well maintained. But... the rules!!!! There are so many rules!!!! You have to have a key to the washrooms & toilets - one key for a family of 4 is very challenging! The shower costs £1 & last somewhat less than the advertised 13 minutes, but is warm & strong. The washing machine, on the other hand, does not do much washing for £4. The £3 dryer is more successful... and there is a washing line, toaster & microwave that are really handy too. So, great, but not without It's issues.
We stayed here just for 1 night after a week's cycling in the Outer Hebrides and Skye. Warm welcome, beautiful location with a nice beach for swimming, excellent and clean facilities. Couldn't have asked for a better final night of our trip. ThanksService: 5/5
Great campsite getting better each time we visit. Good hardstanding pitches with fantastic views over to the islands. Lovely long hot showers with £1 coin, a little quirky a little drafty but spotlessly clean.
Absolutely fabulous 2nd year with John and Karen. Checked out the competition this year but not a patch on what Silversands has to offer. Wish I could post photos on this but have lots on “we love Arisaig” Facebook page
Cant think of any other site with such stunning 360 views. Great access to the sea & beaches. We loved it here. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Hope to come again. Recommended.
Stunning location sat on top of a beautiful beach, great views from our pitch. Warm and friendly welcome. The facilities are well kept and clean. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.
This must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Wonderful views of the mountains and islands. We have been coming here for years and would highly recommend it. The place is well run and spotlessly clean. The owners are friendly and helpful. There is no entertainment on site which means that it is very peaceful. We highly recommend it. Carol and Graeme Mooney.
Staff friendly, good facilities. The pitch we had for our motor home was amazing, views are breathtaking with direct access to the most gorgeous beach. Loved my 2 night stay, will be back x
