Brilliant spot to stay with the caravan. Lovely views and pitches very level. The warden greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful and friendly. Rules are enforced and there’s no messing about on this campsite- if you think you will get blocked out of your mind and be as loud as you like into the wee hours think again! Kids loved it. Nice park close by. 9 hole golf course attached too, with a nice little tuck shop. toilets and showers a 10 min walk, but for £20 a night you couldn’t beat this place.
Great views toilet block a good 6min walk from caravan. Waste services the same. Caravans very tight together. Bit of a shame. If it's views you need it's a nice site
We camped for 3 nights , great wee site but the only bad point is the toilets and showers are a good walk away. We used the car to go to the showers as it was so far away. If camping take a chemical/ portable toilet. The bar and restaurant on site is great, nice food and not too expensive. Golf course us well maintained also , was a tenner for nine holes and really enjoyed it. Great views from campsite across the sea and there is a kids play park recently been added . Would definitely recommend a visit
Absolutely fabulous site, we were camping tents with electric hookup. We were right by the waters edge and the views were stunning. Very quiet site, well maintained and absolutely spotless. The toilet and showers facilities were equally well maintained and again spotless. Very impressed! Karen the site warden was so helpful and a font of knowledge from where was best to site our tents, local beaches, shopping and sightseeing. The Whitehouse Inn is on site and provides a bar service entertainment and food in a cosy atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend a visit x
A great place for families to get away and enjoy the fresh air. The site is well maintained with a friendly easy going atmosphere. The touring pitches are located at the bottom of the site and can accommodate caravans with a few tent pitches. It overlooks the bay on one side and the golf course on the other, with plenty of open space for the kids to play. Portaferry is just a short drive away, you can take a scenic route if you turn left out of the caravan park, and there you can take the ferry to Strangford and Downpatrick. Silverbay Caravan Park is definitely worth a visit!
Very clean site shower block was very well maintained Karen was on hand if needed. But the food was terrible in the restaurant staff not trained to a good standard and to be honest would not recommend or go back. Near rocky beach long walk to town no close shop.
Currently spending 2 nights in Silver Bay! Pitches are only feet from the sea . The grounds and facilities are unbelievably well kept! Karen is a true pleasure from the moment met her, she and the team work tirelessly to keep the place in such a high standard! The grass all around the place mirrors that of the neighbouring golf course Will definitely be recommending it and will definitely return when coming back to this side of the country!
Visited ny sister and husband at their caravan. Their site looks out over the sea. Beautiful views
Stayed Weekend there good clean Site That's Sun going Down from our Pitch
Lovely place Only downside is if your in a tent toliet block too far away need more facilities for the happy campers. would recommend.
