So myself and 3 freinds decided to celebrate one of our birthdays by going glamping. The intital place that we looked elsewhwre was booked out so we settled on castleward as it seemed to be a good place. IT WAS NOT. The first problem was there being a lack of of clarity on what exactly the pods contained. A single Heater and two lights was shocking. The seond problem was the lack of lighting along the cabin trail. The 3rd pod had a steep three foot drop right outside the front where a friend of mine couldn’t see, and suffered multiple injuries after falling due to lack of light. We are waiint to get a report on the severity of the injuries. The final reason why I urge you not to book with castleward is that at 11 am we experience 5 burly/intimidating men banging on the pod over the miss proper use of the campfire (which was never explained to us) and I was pulled out by the scruffs of the neck through the door as I answered. It was pure assault. And they then gave us 10 minutes to pack our things and leave. The whole experience was traumatising. I don’t know how they treat people in Northern Ireland but in America I’d be doing a lot more than a bad review considering the abhorrent treatment we received. Do.not.book.with.them. Bad staff. Bad management. Bad organising and bad glampng.
