Ordered Flowers for my Partner being made redundant after 23 years due to banks closing, needless to say it was upsetting and just wanted to make her last day special. The service was both good and Bad, Starting with the good, the flowers are as fresh as you could hope, they look and smell beautiful, I have used shorts many times over the years as I like to support local however the level of service was beyond poor... I went in the week before, ordered with plenty of notice, said 3 times they must be there before 10:30am and he even wrote that down and said to me they will be there before 10:30am, I even paid 4.95 delivery which I wasn't expecting though I guess maybe for the Milk Tray I asked them to send or perhaps the Town location. On the big day it got to 11:15 and I'd not had a text, I knew something was wrong so I called the florist and asked if the delivery had gone to the Bank yet, they said its due out soon, they had clearly forgotten, I said the branch closes permanently at 12pm and they said, do you have an alternative delivery address, what you want me to send them to someone else??? I couldn't believe the lack of empathy and understanding of why people may buy flowers, to brighten a day in hard times or as a surprise and the importance of timings, I would have liked them there at 9am but I said 10:30 to be reasonable and so she would be able to feel good, display them for at least an hour and half at work... They said rather unhappily we'll get them there before 12pm, they turned up and I asked my partner who said she was called out by a colleague, couldn't believe they were for her, the guy just shoved them into her hands and walked off, I mean I didn't expect a song or anything but a smile ,might have been nice. I just felt they don't appreciate the business, they can't follow agreed simple instructions, when they fail they would rather not apologise and seek to resolve it and on top of all that seem angry at being held to what they agreed... Just poor, will go elsewhere next time, though being fair, I can still smell the flowers right now 2 weeks later and they do still look beautiful, so if your collecting I recommend but if your are ordering for a special occasion or want them delivered on time, I would be very careful, had they shown some understanding and just been honest and delivered them with a good attitude I probably wouldn't have bothered with this review, but it seems to me this Florist's has forgotten what good customer service is, which I would think is vital in the current times, I grew up down Phelps Street and always remember them being there... a real shame

Lovely people, really care in making sure you get what you want in choice of flowers, wreaths etc. Highly recommended. Updated as of 5 Jan 2021 - still open during lockdown selling fresh fruit and veg as well as flowers.
Went to my cousin Terry downs funeral today, may I say how wonderful the wreath was that you did for me. So different and creative it really stood out, the young couple that served me we're super helpful and friendly I won't be going anywhere else for any future floral arrangements. Walked in for a small bouquet of flowers on the birthday of my late mother A little last minute, I know ‍ Was greeted by a pleasant chap who was very helpful and managed to not only pick me a beautiful bunch of flowers there and then but also charged such a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend or use again
