My review could have been quite negative if it weren't for the honesty of the staff on arrival. We were told that the gardens were in disarray and maintenance was due to be carried out on the whole site. For this we were charged a reduced rate of just £3. The garden was indeed full of weeds and the whole outdoor area desperately needed some TLC. But I absolutely knew that the guys running this place cared very much for the animals and their welfare and many of them including the lemurs and monkeys were free to go wherever they wished. We even had the opportunity to feed grapes to them which was a real treat for us! The staff were friendly and found time to chat to us about the animals. There is a nice café and a gallery and a tiny gift shop area. There isn't a huge amount to see or do here, maybe an hour's worth, but we still enjoyed it and would return again some day. With a lick of paint and a garden makeover this would be a little gem.

A treasure in the heart of East Anglia, this is an amazing place, lovely gardens alive with wildlife and exotic birds and animals, loved the monkeys living in the hedges and the cranes just wandering around the garden
