This was a must-try on my list of cafes. The atmosphere gives a mixed vibe of old meets new. I love the 'coffee on black' idea. It's a simple yet very effective marketing method. More so, the coffee tastes strong, perfectly balanced, and of course well presented. The carrot cake on the side was flavourful, but I'd remove the 'almost frozen' chocolate on top. Will be back again
Best coffee in Dun Laoighre! Their shop is really nice spot for having a catch-up with friends, studying or reading a book. I would love to see more coffee shops from Shoe Lane around Dublin. Staff is really nice. Try out their affogato coffee, cappuccino and cold brew
Flat white from Shoe Lane, with a scone on the side. Perfect after a walk on the pier, pop up the street with your cuppa and take a seat on the bench to watch the world go by.Food: 4/5
Shoe Lane is a delightful little cafe that is perfect for a cozy and relaxing afternoon. As soon as you step inside, you'll be struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with comfortable seating and soft lighting. But what really sets Shoe Lane apart is their incredible Aztec Hot Chocolate Honey, Chili, Cocoa Powder.
I first visited Shoe Lane in Tara Street, greeted by lovely staffs early morning first two pics. Flat white was amazing and wanted to go back. However, I found out they had a branch in Dun Laoghaire and did not hesitate to drop by as I did my usual morning walk. I came in straight to the cashier, there were about 4 staff but I had to wait atleast 2-3minutes, and I was the only customer at the front that time which really surprised me. Staff already seen me and did not say a word or attended me, there was no harm in telling me if I could wait for few minutes but they just kept doing what they were doing. It lacked abit of communication and reassurance, service was abit slow. It took for a staff that only came out from the staff room for another staff to attend to me. She literally had to tell one of the staff to attend the customer and there were about three of them behind the counter. I was also a little bit disappointed with the turmeric latte, it was cold and had a very gritty texture. Nevertheless, I would go back to try their Affogato and Icecream sandwich. The service and experience in Tara Street was great perhaps, the coffee was also bomb.
I have walked placed this place often but never went in, how I regret that ! Such a delight and highly recommend. Good food and good service, oh and of course excellent coffee.
Really enjoyed stopping here for a coffee and cake. It was a hot day so everyone was in a good mood. Staff are friendly and helpful. 2 dogs were allowed sit beside us with their owners. I always trust a place that caters for dogs Food: 5/5
Fabulous spot! Went here after a walk on the pier with my dog Balthazar. The staff were warm and accommodating and the pastry selection was great I've an awful sweet tooth. Balthazar got himself a puppuccino, which he was weak for, and I got a flat white and brownie. Could listen to the music and people watch there, all day! See you again soon.
Hands down the nicest flat white that I ever had, also the staff are super friendly and the overall decor and atmosphere is on point Food: 5/5
I always love to get the overnight oats and the pour over coffee. I have enjoyed it though I believe it's slightly overpriced. However, the cafe itself is cute and warm and is wonderful for catching up with friends.
