Top class food and service
Stephen and hazel are not nice people my fiancé worked there for roughly one year stephen manipulates and threatens staff with their job constantly holding it over their head. When she did eventually leave shines on her own terms they never paid her any owed holiday pay and after many attempts asking for her holiday pay they both blocked her number. She should have know better when Stephen refused to pay her on the books and insisted on paying cash only. You would imagine a qualified barrister to act in more professional manner running a business.
Great food at s reasonable price. My wife got the pictured burger. I had a delicious pasta. The staff was very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on my way to Dublin just off the highway.
Called in for food on a Friday evening, very friendly helpful staff very clean kitchen area, delicious food, well cooked and presented, also reasonably priced. Had a catch up with family over a drink, had a lovely evening. Would definitely go back again.
This is a excellent restaurant located ever so slightly out of town. The staff are consistently friendly and are always welcoming to new customers. The food always meets expectations and I can safely say I have never left disappointed.
Nice place, staff excellent. Food OK. Hallway carpet could do with changing. Slightly to far out of town to walk to center. Thought breakfast was included but it wasn't, made this room the dearest on our trip. Not sure I'd book again.
Extremely cold due drafts from the doors being open , creating a wind tunnel. Food was not fresh it was cheap frozen pizzas, fish and fries. Only thing place is good for is drinking. There were very few people there.
The rooms are very spacious, more like hotel rooms than a guesthouse. Excellent value. Central location to Athlone Town. A lovely restaraunt downstairs and an old school bar also where the fire is always lit and the Guinness flowing.
Food not restaurant quality. Had chicken coujons. Deep fried no flavour. Side salad very bad. Recommend the shack to see how pub grub should be prepared.
