Every stylist I’ve seen has been excellent. Special mention to Marius, who is a real perfectionist and very skilled. Have seen him many times over the years and he really cares about getting the colour, cut and finish that suits me best.

Having frequented West End salons most of my life, I moved to the area fairly recently and decided to try Shine on the Green.  A lovely experience from beginning to end.  Clean, light salon with a lovely vibe, a warm greeting on arrival by Tiffany and a comfy chair during the whole colour/wash/cut process! Alex highlighted and cut my hair and did a fantastic job.  So happy with the colour and the cut. I heartily recommend both Alex and the salon.  I am booked in for an alternative therapy treatment which I feel sure will be great too. Hoping Tiffany will be there to greet me again :-

I have just had the best massage ever!! And I have had loads of massages but Becky was amazing and treated me and my body with so much respect. She was gentle and caring when I needed her to be,if you need a more gentle massage,Becky is the one you should go to! I can't wait to go back there! Perfect!

The haircut by a self employed stylist was really disappointing. It was not bad but I could have had a better haircut at a good barber. I was quite clear about what I wanted, the shape, the desired length and how much to be cut, but it wasn’t considered. I had my haircut for years at Shine until about 7 years ago. My sense is that the focus is no longer on hair cutting or styling but beauty services more broadly. Maybe I’m wrong. A haircut is well priced. Almost too cheap. Maybe this is why the quality is not competitive. Sadly, I won’t return.

Went for massage with Beth who was amazing. She listened to what I needed. Have had many underwhelming massages but she did back, arms and head releasing tension and left me feeling brilliant. Would highly recommend when you feel in need of some care.

Had a great haircut at Shine today - my hairdresser was Marius who listened to what I wanted, but also made his own suggestions. I last visited here more than 15 years ago when I lived nearby. Really happy that Shine is still around and I'll definitely be back.

Went for a massage - excellent. Skilled practitioner who responded to my needs.  Went back for a haircut. Both times, text and email alerts were gratefully received. Smiley, helpful staff. Excellent haircut, friendly attitude, good chat! I'll be back.

I see Becky for a massage here regularly, and have done for years, and it's fantastic! Including pregnancy and post natal and hot stone. Can't recommend Becky enough.

I have been going here for nearly ten years because they offer superb services at extremely reasonable prices. I would also say they also go above and beyond for their clients. I've had several hair stylists and beauticians in the past many years and every single one was fabulous. Fantastic rapid and clear communication, and always a warm welcome.

Five stars for the treatment and the beautician, but if it was for the receptionist I would give this 1 star. I had booked an appointment on Tuesday with them, I arrived and they told me the card machine wasn’t working. So we agreed to move the appointment to Saturday because of that. So far so good. As I had some commitments before the scheduled appointment, I made sure to pop into the studio a day before to tell them I may run 15-20 minutes late. Fast forward to the day of the appointment, I am indeed running late and I receive a call from the receptionist. She tells me it’s the second time I am cancelling, after Tuesday. I reply to her saying that actually no, on Tuesday the appointment was cancelled because of their card machine not working, as I had showed up there on time. Her response “well I don’t care if you get your treatment or not, you need to pay the cancellation fee”. All this despite me having pointed out I was going to run late to the appointment well in advance. If she knew this was going to be a problem, she should have just asked me to book an appointment later for instance. Instead she was incredibly rude for absolutely no reason.  However, I want to give this 5 stars because the beautician Poly was wonderful and did a great job.
