I went there to get an international driving license. I assumed it would take a maximum of five minutes as it used to do at the post office so I didn’t think to check for any kind of parking restrictions. The lady at the counter clearly hadn’t been trained in how to do one, and also was the only member of staff working there so had to keep stopping to take petrol payments. None of this is her fault, she did her absolute best and was very polite, it was clear that management hadn’t bothered to train their staff or put a suitable amount of staff on for a busy daytime shift. It took over half an hour to finally get my license, and to my great surprise when I came back from my holiday I had multiple letters telling me that I’d been fined for parking at a business whose services I was using. As id been away for a while I’d missed the chance to pay the reduced amount so ended up forking out £100 for the pleasure of using this service. I’m a service driver so used to spend upwards of £300 a week on fuel at this place but I will never be going back and will be advising my Uber and Deliveroo driver friends to boycott it as well. As I said, this isn’t the fault of the staff working, it’s bad management and a bad parking policy.
Haven’t been trained to do International Driving Permits despite PayPoint website saying they do - head to Carlton Local instead.
woman with blonde hair working at around 9:45 had NO customer service skills what-so-ever, if i spoke to a customer the way she spoke to my friend at this gas station i would be fired on the spot, horrible attitude in her voice. she couldn’t get the fuel pumps to work, understandably, in a stressful situation, however she needs training on how to handle this. if she had simply told us we would have had no problems at all as we know how hard service jobs can be. however, she went on to blame my friend saying she couldn’t make it work if he had the pump picked up even though he wasn’t even touching the pump she spoke with an extremely condescending manner and an attitude the whole time we were there, continuing to tell him it was his fault the pump wasn’t working even thou he wasn’t touching it and then proceeded to say they were closed and had no tills, a clear lie as she was serving customers at the window.
This is by far the best staff of any petrol station I have ever seen Mark works Fridays and Saturday nights and is the nicest person I've ever known and over the past 8 years has become a close personal friend of mine he would do anything for any customer even the worst of the worst and the drunkest at the drunkest I hope his boss gets this feedback he has never ever let me down
If you want cheaper fuel go to Asda, Morrisons or Sainsbury's in the Nottingham area and probably in most other areas. Forgive me if I have missed out other filling stations offering decent pricing... you can always add any :-
Apalling experience with this petrol station last night. Despite being advised that the place shut at midnight, the staff in this petrol station were very rudely turning customers away up to 10 minutes before midnight andvrefusing to serve petrol even after advising how low my tank was. Extremy poor, unflexible and disrespectful service
Pay at pump with the app, or in shop. If you have their reward card they have some great deals.
A local and convenient fuel station. Provides all the normal services you would expect. Fuel quality is great. Friendly staff.
Overpriced fuel, no toilets and expensive items for sale. Totally taking advantage of those desperately needing fuel as there isnt any completion nearby.
Meal deal too expensive. Not enough options snack wise and didn't feel worth it.
