Authentic and tasty, but portion size could be a bit more generous wife and I both had lamb sheesh, left hungry. Maybe we just visited on an off night, but felt the Turkish that has opened up in Sutton recently offered better value and equal quality cuisine.
We ordered two mains for takeaway on a Sunday night around 10:30, we took our order and when we opened it at home it was one box of some leftover kebabs and one box of salad. Was really disappointed and annoyed as were starving end up eating eggs n toast for dinner
Great quality food, insubstantial labeling. The food here is all heavy and creamy. I ordered my favourite dish imam bayildi, which does not always come with cheese. Theirs does, but did not say so on the menu. I do not eat cheese, so we questioned the waiter about it. He was friendly about it as they always are, but replied as though such a thing was a given. This establishment needs to learn that not everyone can eat dairy. Had I been intolerant, this could have been serious. Avoid the dry dishes like whole fish or sheesh - they are a little too dry and not so good. The cold mezze is wonderful. The Turkish coffee here is great and it seems to be a hot spot for birthdays, so prepare / brace yourself for at least one lively Turkish rendition of the classic tune.
Loved this place! Great food, good prices, excellent staff. I'm very disappointed to find that it's permanently closed. Surely, not because of lack of trade? It was always full, must have been making money. As sad loss to the area.
Love it, always go here as my friend is Turkish. Great hungry food.
