It was a little difficult to find initially. It could be better sign posted however a lovely big warehouse with a good variety of random bits and pieces; brick-a-brack and books and good quality second-hand furniture. Really well priced, in fact I would say, under priced for some of the pieces. The staff are super helpful as well and it's nice to know that whatever is purchased goes to a good cause - so you could say, guilt-free shopping! :

If you can find it up in the Crichton grounds it's well worth the trip with huge choice of pre loved furniture and household items. You are free to browse at your leisure. Helpful staff.
We had a couple of electrical items to dispose of, but were told that Shax had someone who could do PAT testing, unlike a lot of other charity shops. Pleasantly surprised by the selection of items for sale, good condition and reasonably priced. We ended up coming away with a small TV cabinet, staff were very helpful. Our first visit but probably won't be the last, does need to better signposted.
A great local 2nd hand shop, that has decent prices and delivers/collects furniture that people wish to donate.
we ordered a bed,three piece suite and a wee unit and got them delivered the next day we where well chuffed with our products will pop in again for more idea's.
What a brilliant place Shax is. You can find it up by the Crighton, it is signposted but still quite hard for me anyway to find. Here you can donate anything household.... TV's, beds, pictures, coffee tables, desks I purchased a great desk for £10.00!. They have washing machines, fridges, dressing tables.....etc etc. In fact anything in the household line, all donated by kind individuals, rather than just taking it to the dump! They sell these items and it's a great place if u have been homeless or just starting out, or if u just need something that won't cost u a fortune. Give them a try....as I said I bought a great desk for £10 + £10 delivery which is a bargain...
Prices higher than expected on some things for. Second hand . But bed frames along with the mattress instead of. Separate. A better deal than some places.
A brilliant place to pick up great pieces of furniture and the staff are so helpful. It's such a great cause as well
