Really good range of items and went in and got what I wanted but the customers service/ staff was not good. Out of three staff one who I spoke to, to ask about whether they had an item was really unfriendly and actually quite rude short/ bobbish grey hair, another lady with brown hair stepped in and was really nice and friendly and showed me where the item was and another lady who served me at the till did not speak and was not very friendly/ polite. I think some training on customer service is needed because I would not go back. I've never experienced service like it.

Looks like they are either having a massive refurb and clearing all of their stock or they will be closing down very soon. There is hardly anything left in-store, although I did overhear one of the staff saying they had a suprise wool delivery last week. Everything is reduced so worth popping in now if you are passing.

Sadly it was their closing down sale. They will be missed. The staff were always lovely, and prices were always competive.

This shop is closed without any notice given been  in newton abbot for as long has I remember so sad for loyal  staff let alone it's  customer's yes another shop closed in the town

I never had any problems there! They even kept my items in the shop for me to collect later on my way back to the train station, after a trip to Asda! Plus loved everything I bought there, the duvet I bought in 2010 I'm still using it so much I loved it! And it's CHEAP!! I can't understand why they're saying this shop is expensive!! Maybe I was lucky to get only bargains, but as I said I never paid any high prices for anything I bought there..I am  definitely happy to recommend this lovely shop to anyone!

We've used shaws often . Very good quality items and reasonably priced 10/10. But .... last week we bought 2 pairs of curtains and 6 new poles for our house . When we got home we noticed one set was not ring top. Today we returned them , usually not a problem, however one assistant decided they had been opened and taken out . We explained they hadn't been taken out or even opened we noticed before that they were the wrong top. Sadly she would not accept this and argued with us stating we HAD taken them out the packet and wouldn't accept our opinion. And kept making a point of it , basically we were lying. Another assistant took over , removed the curtains and saw the factory folded items . Funnily the rude one disappeared then . So basically avoid the Scottish one if you've got a return

Old and tired store but staff have always been amazing and helpful. Not a massive store but a good selection available.

Travelled 18 miles to shop at Shaws on four occasions now. Every time the service was great and the product too, all at a very good price Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Note the poor review is anonymous!.

This shop is now closed permanently
