One of the worst contractors ever, I am disabled and he was supposed create a double drive and drop kerb and pave my patio. The work was finally completed after loads of excuses. After even more excuses and leaving me with just a 6 inch drop to get over for 8 months, I finally sacked him, he still owes me money which was paid in advance when he said he would be back the following Monday and never appeared. 
I did try to ask for my money back some months ago and he agreed until I asked him to let his mother be a witness, he then suddenly lost his temper and swung as if to hit me. According to companies house his business was dissolved in January 2014 well before he quoted for the job, but he did not disclose this fact.
I had to pay somebody else to dig up his work after front drive began to sink, and the mess he left behind was disgusting he has since started up/registered another company called Shaws Construction Drainage and Water UK Ltd 
I found out today (March 2018) that he new company mentioned above has also gone into liquidation and ceased trading, and his van has a new company name on it SHAWS CIVIL ENGINEERING AND DRAINAGE 
how many more companies is he going to set up and dissolve before people realise how bad his work is.
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF HIS COMPANIES WITH A BARGE POLE.  If I could give no stars I would.
