Ironically it can often be hard to find a really good Chinese restaurant in Chinatown but this one is certainly up there. Located literally on the main square in Chinatown, the place is decorated nicely and has a pretty good vibe, both feeling distinctly traditionally Chinese but also modern. The staff are friendly and attentive and the main thing, the food, doesn’t disappoint. Great range across the menu meaning you’re bound to find something you like. The best thing is to come with a group of people and order a few main dishes and some Dim Sum. The Chili Beef, Fried Squid and Mango Chicken were particularly tasty. I went as a party of three and after spending only £30 each we all had more food than we could eat, an amazing range of dishes and left full… in central London these days that’s not a bad result
Tasty, and affordable, filling food! I had a selection of dumplings and buns, and a platter that I shared with my friend. Went for lunch, didn't need to eat dinner because I was full! The tables and seats are good sizes, and the staff were very nice. They were happy to help with any questions and even showed me pictures on their phone about dishes I was curious about. The tiger new year buns were the cutest!!
Quite a large restaurant, with the whole mezzanine floor practically being empty, while the ground floor was pretty full. We loved the pork belly which was swimming in a sweet and tangy sauce. We thought it might have been plum which sweetened it, however after speaking to the waitress we found out that it was just sugar . The tofu was accompanied by a delicious vinegary sauce which we couldn't get enough of . Overall, this place is a good back up option for those occasions where your first choice restaurants might be full or with a long wait
Really enjoyed the food here. So many vegan options - The spicy mock chicken dish was the best one. Flavours are great and food was fresh and arrived quickly. Would recommend for vegans as alot of dishes are already on the menu so you won't have to beg them to make changes! Staff were friendly too.
Not exactly Shanghai dishes even some of those are. Kinda of mixed of different Chinese dishes. Taste is above average, but not shocked by the taste as many selection of Chinese restaurants in this area. Not expensive if you are going with a group of four or more. Worth going if you don’t have any favourite Chinese restaurants in this area.
The first waitress/server who took our order did not explain to us well about the menu , she just said that the food we ticked in the menu was out of stock and that’s it. No other explanation or recommendations -left us their in silence. Felt like she didn’t to accommodate us The second server was a man and he did pretty well and explained to us the choices in the menu for the soup. The food I had was good, and also the braised pork was great. However, the soup my friends ordered was a bit bland. Overall, it’s a three for me.
We went for the little piggy but where Told they had little tiger buns instead which Whr much cuter. The dumplings where good they came out super fast. Everything cost 22.10 I can’t complain other than that it was rather cold in the restaurant. Staff was attentive and helpful. Will be coming back soon.
This is my favourite place in Chinatown. I am regular and I have never been disappointed. I have brought many people here and everyone has found something they like. My personal favourite dish is the pork soup dumplings. The service is really quick and the staff is spectacular. Very reasonably priced and accommodating to different dietary requirements.
Standard China Town restaurant, had all the crowd pleasers and pleased the crowd. Service was attentive, restaurant was clean, food was tasty and decent portions. Peking Duck was great, flavourful. Fried pork bun were lacking the pork filing and the vegetables were a hit. “It’s neither here, nor there” Might go back again, might not.
I visited on a Saturday night, around after 10pm. The kitchen was almost closing was unaware but the waiters never made us feel like we had to be rushed or delaying them, they were very hospitable. The dishes were very tasty and affordable meals. Would visit again and try out more tasty dishes as displayed on other reviews.
