Absolutely loved our visit today! The staff are super friendly, all of the cats are lovely, even a few cute kittens! The food was great too. We will definitely be coming back! Worth the drive from Birmingham
This place is super cute and full of rescue cats with heartwarming stories. We popped in for a cup of peppermint tea - which was served in the most gorgeous tea set ever, and had a lovely time relaxing with the kitties. There is a £6 entry fee, per person, which is more than fair as I assume it goes towards cat maintenance and wellbeing. The staff are super friendly and really conscientious of the animals. Shakespaw Cat Café has all the feel good vibes, and I'm a huge fan of the way it promotes rescue animals and shares their stories rather than exploiting animals for profit. Thanks for being wonderful!
I wish I could give 6 stars. Our experience here was fabulous. My friend and I shared the most delicious scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam we’ve ever had, and some lovely tea. All the small details were there as well. So sad we didn’t do the full afternoon tea experience as I’m sure it would’ve been divine. Hats off to whoever prepares the food here. Lovely decor and friendly staff too. And of course, the kitties were so much fun!! Hope to come back someday!
I have been to Shakespaw once and my my parents also went last weekend for their anniversary. Amazing place, the staff are so friendly and caring. The work they do is amazing - not just running the cafe, but taking care of kitties in need on top and raising awareness for adoption! To the person below who wrote about the manager being “racist” this is completely false. The manager was only asking for proof of age for a child as young children are not allowed, they can scare the cats. Can’t wait to go back to Shakespaw next month :!
Lots of sweet kit kits who are comfortable and well looked after. Relaxed staff and relaxed cats make a very nice environment. Had a waffle each and a Cat White coffee. Best cat cafe we've been to so far! Nice merch available too :Food: 5/5
Such a cute little place, cats and staff are lovely, food is great! There were Even some cute kittens when we dined, and we were free to roam around the cafe looking and playing with the cats! I’d recommend keeping in finished tuna sandwiches well out of the way! We sat by the window and it was lovely as cats liked to bathe in the sun!!! A great place and will definitely return one day!
We visited here on a family day out and it was brilliant. The food was fab, we all had cake and tea. All of the cats were friendly and very cute! Although it’s a very small cafe it didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. But, we were surprised to find that the cats are very smart and will try and tip over the milk containers on your table lol!
Went to this wonderful café today with my grandmother. Staff were attentive and passionate about the work that they did as well as informative about the history of the café and processes they have for introducing new cats into the environment. All the food and drinks were both crafted and served with love and attention to detail and the main attraction, the cats were all beautiful, well looked after and sociable with us. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

I love this cat cafe! There are so many cats and they're so cute and well behaved - each with their own personalities too. They're so sweet. The staff are lovely and the food good and good price. I go here all the time! Well worth the visit. Amazing!
