Nice and clean plenty of parking.A good walk from the town but lots to see on the way. Views over the estuary. Many of the old boat building yards converted to boutique shops.There is a cran restaurant at the far end of the carpark.
As others have said, spaces can be rather tight. If you park on the slope, be careful with your car doors. Convenient location for getting into Salcombe.
Loves visiting Salcombe, lovely town and all amenities within walking distance.
A word of advice. If you are coming to Devon leave the car at home. The local coastal road network was built in a time when few people owned cars. Many roads are single track, in poor condition and just about wide enough for a single car to drive on so there tends to be a lot of reversing going on. Drive at 20 mph or lower to avoid collision on blind bends and hill approaches.
One way system, lots of spaces but some tight. Machine only accepts change, no contactless which seems to be the norm in popular places Devon and Cornwall. Be prepared to download another parking app. Convenient for town and amenities. No public toilets.
MAXIMUM STAY 3 HOURS. Unless coming after 6PM then can stay overnight. Go to creek car park for longer hours.
Parking was £3.90 for 3 hours, think this is typical of councils ripping of tourist. The carpark fills quickly in high season so if you can't get there early I'd go somewhere else.
Used app to pay, unable to renew in the morning even though less than the 15 hours maximum stay amount. Had ticket 20mins after ran out, tried to get there as quick as I could as soon as I realised I couldnt renew. Do not use overnight.
It's a car park. Cars park in it. It is not a sight in itself. Parking without coins - who the h has coins nowadays? - could be better... at least it is close to the town.
Beautiful views but good luck finding a space during summer season. Better off parking further away and walking if possible.
