Just your standard DLR station, got a revamp in 2009, nothing special to note apart from there are two exits, east and west, east being more of the unused one.nnThose who are going towards Tower Gateway, usually get off here for that service. The Shadwell railway station which caters to the London Overground is a stone throws away.nnGetting here via other public transport, London buses D3, 100 and 339 cater to the station, Shadwell Station Stop A/D.
nice hood
This is a good Train Station although at times it smells like excrete.
Offers basic interchange with the London Overground just across the road and has basic facilities such as seating, shelter and a ticket machine. Step free access is provided via a narrow lift down to the street and the platform is very narrow.nnStation is typically unstaffed, trains are frequent at worst, every 5-10 mins and offers a decent view to watch c2c trains go by too.
The stars are for the station. After that I didn’t have a clue, it was winter, dark, and full of pedestrian only walkways that gave me the creeps. And I don’t live anywhere safe or beautiful.
