"UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP This is a family run sight CAMC - Caravan and Motorhome Club CL standing in the grounds of a Grade II listed building built in 1852 originally part of the Leighton estate and oozes charm and character aswell as an abundance of fruit trees. An historical avenue of oak trees and stunning countryside views await you. Severn Lodge is situated in the Welsh borders in the small village of Leighton and is a short 10 minute walk to the town of Welshpool with its good pubs and restaurants, Powys castle, museum and canal walk. The River Severn flows nearby - the site commands wonderful views towards Leighton village and the hills beyond.No Showers/No Toilets on site and NO TENTS permitted"

Not really a lot I can say about this CL site that has not already been said. We go on on other lovely CL sites in different parts of the country but we have never met owners with as much enthusiasm as Andy and Dawn. I've definitely never been on any 5 van site where they do special evenings like steak nights and barbecue evenings. As everybody says the countryside views are beautiful on a site that is well kept.
Would happily have stayed more than one night at this lovely CL, and not just to qualify for the complimentary breakfast bap on day of departure for those who stay 2 or more nights. Andy and Dawn made us very welcome and we followed their advice for a lovely evening walk up to the beautiful village church. Enjoyed an afternoon at Powis Castle as part of our stay. No hesitation in recommending and would definitely stay again.
Stayed for one night wish we had booked longer. From the friendly welcome to seeing us off, Andy and Dawn could not have been better hosts. Immaculate CL with great views over to the church, which, if you visit, go find the hidden angel inside. Great cycle route along the canal. We will most definitely return
We stayed at Severn Lodge at the end of September on route to the Welsh Coast and liked it so much we stayed again last weekend on our return. Dawn and Andy are new owners and are clearly working very hard to make this a very welcoming place to stay. We had a friendly reception, encouragement to help ourselves to the fruit on the trees, a much appreciated breakfast bap for staying a second night, and even a friendly gathering around the firepit on Saturday evening. All this and its handily just down the road from Welshpool and Powys Castle. Superb
Although only one night stop, this was a hidden find. Excellent little site with views alround. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Idea if visiting powis castle, will book again for longer next time
We both love our two nights at Severn Lodge, Dawn and Andy could not have been more welcoming on arrival and wishing you a safe journey on departure. Lovely clean site and great walks for us and chip our dog. It's on our go back to list.
We have just returned home after staying 2 nights here, Dawn & Andy were very welcoming and genuinely nice people, we had a lovely social barbecue on Friday night, with great food, unfortunately under cover due to weather conditions, we met some lovely people. Nice tranquil site with lovely views, would definitely stay here again

What a great site. Andy & Dawn were so friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely be back again. Lovely location and only a 2 minute walk to a beautiful stretch of the River Severn which is owned by Andy & Dawn and therefore fishing is part of the package which makes it even better value.
Just spent 4 lovely days here with family 4 adults and couldn't be happier with the Severn Lodge CL. Dawn and Andy are very welcoming and friendly. The site is really well maintained and looks amazing in the sunshine and the breakfast baps on leaving day are divine . Hope to come back again soon
